Jesus, Covid or something else? It doesn't really look like he lives a healthy lifestyle so I can't say I'm surprised. Hope he's okay though.
first thing I think of when hearing "emergency surgery" is usually appendix removed

Gazzetta dello Sport is writing Raiola had surgery and is now being monitored.

(sorry… I put it here because it is BIG market news)

edit: translation googled — “These are delicate hours for Mino Raiola. The well-known sports agent is hospitalized at the San Raffaele in Milan where he underwent surgery. Alberto Zangrillo, chief physician at the Milan hospital (as well as president of Genoa), confirms: "The operation had been planned for some time." Raiola, 54, will remain under observation.”

I wonder what effect that would have on the sporting world. A large number of incredibly talented players then without an agent.

Tecatito Corona, done. Now, Sevilla and Porto are in the phase of exchanging documents. Player that Lopetegui has always wanted and will come out cheap, as he finished his contract in June.

Orsolini, who scored a goal for Bologna last night, injured his shoulder and had to be relieved. Sevilla has ruled it out. Martial, for now, no. But it is very, very, difficult.

Full quotes:
In the case of transfer rumours, it is well known that the media always like to add a little more salt and pepper to make the headline a bit more explosive and bigger. Accordingly, you will not hear from me until the day of the final decision. We still have a lot to do at Chelsea this season, and my full focus at the moment is on the City game. My agent is currently taking care of everything else.

Samuel Umtiti, who has just extended, hopes to be loaned out this winter. The Ligue 1 option is not on the table. English, Spanish and Italian clubs have positioned themselves.

Valencia DOES NOT let Wass leave according to @ODValencia. What a mess. Let's see if it is the final decision, it looks bad for Atlético.

Source:

The club decides not to sell Wass and stays until the end of the season after the meeting this morning between Bordalás and Anil Murthy.

Hamburg sporting director Michael Mutzel on Tommy Doyle's future prospects:
We had a conversation with Tommy before the winter break in which he told us that he wanted more playing time and that this was also the reason for the loan. This playing time was limited, so he asked to be able to end the loan. We agreed to that for the time being. Tommy is now looking for a new club. For the time being, we assume that he probably won’t come back, but we don’t want to rule it out 100 per cent.

Manchester City have yet to officially terminate the Hamburg loan.

  • Wolves want £20M for Traoré for a January sale.
    • The loan + purchase obligation is a cheaper option for Spurs whilst letting Wolves recoup some value on Traoré's final year.
  • The player prefers joining Tottenham.
  • Spurs want to sell Bergwijn for £25M.
    • Ajax are interested.
  • Paratici and Conte are prioritising other targets over Jesse Lingard.

Mino Raiola was subjected to ordinary medical checks which required anaesthesia. These are scheduled checks, there has been no emergency intervention.

Why would they be happy to sell a player United, Juve and Liverpool are interested in for 6/7m?
He's in the last year of his contract, and he's desperate to leave. The club's also officially announced that Zakaria will leave the club at the end of the season, which doesn't help with his valuation for January.

Because he's out of contract in summer and has said that he will leave.
Certainly Gladbach would prefer to sell him abroad now and get some money back than see him join Bayern or BVB for free in summer.

eh? Literally can't think of any ordinary medical check that requires anaesthesia.

Oh I get that they want to make a bit of cash off him. I'd just be keeping quiet about the figure you'd accept for the time being, and look to play a couple of the interested parties off eachother
