Supposedly Frankie De Jong is for sale as they think they can get a lot of money for him.

Makes sense having Pedri, Gavi, Puig, Busquets and Roberto. If this is even slightly true, do the business!

Yes, kind of like a welcome gift to Ten Hag.

If any shred of truth in him being for sale we should spend big on him. Class player.

And Nico!

Yeah, makes total sense to sell him given their depth in midfield. They desperately need the cash to get a winger and defenders.

Knowing our board (the one that spent 80m on Maguire, 50m on AWB and spent 35m on an attacking midfielder we don't need), we'll sleep on him and he'll end up at City or Bayern. "Too expensive" will be the reason given.

Nico too, and they were linked to Zakaria on a free transfer though doubt it is something that'll happen. Selling Frenkie and not renewing Roberto's contract would put them in a much better position financially.

I think he'll end up at City.

Anyone who thinks De Jong would even consider us with Ole at the wheel is out of their minds! Isn't / wasn't he good friends with VDB?

Yep, sadly most likely, but you'd hope if VDB was a Murtogh signing - you couldn't not want De jong!

Didn't see the Zakaria link, that is interesting.

Oh man, if we can make it happen I will excuse the management for not signing Conte. Just reach an agreement for Ten Hag and go for him in summer.

Donny and De Jong along with Bruno would be one hell of a midfield.

Translation:

  • Tuchel didn't request for him nor did he enter Tuchel's plans at any stage.
  • The loan + purchase option deal was a favour to Jonathan Barnett + his agency, ICM Stellar Sports.
    • Saúl really wanted to leave Atletico Madrid in the summer, so Barnett got in touch with their "trusted clubs", and Chelsea committed to the transfer.
  • No chance that Saúl will leave Chelsea in January
  • No chance that Chelsea will buy Saúl in the summer, which will pose Atletico Madrid another problem

Raphinha when asked if he wants to play in the Champions League in the near future:
Of course. I’m very happy at Leeds and hopefully we can play the Champions League.

That tweet about Osimhen is the least surprising ever, the deal never made any sense from the start.

This guy. I don't understand why he needs to do his best Emperor Palpatine impression every time he opens his mouth.

At this rate, people will feel sympathetic towards City, PSG and Newcastle.

Tiago Pinto on strengthening the team:
When we started this project, we knew needed time since ownership inherited a tough financial situation. We can't build an instant team like other clubs do. Mourinho is aware of this and he's aligned with us. If he wants to develop a player like Felix, it means he's aligned with this project, this is also true for Darboe and Calafiori.

The coach's will is to build together with us. When we say we need time and sustainable football, we aren't saying we don't want to win, but just that we want to do it in this fashion, we don't want to build an instant team, we want to improve during every transfer window.

  • City okay with letting Sterling leave in January but only if they get a quality replacement in.
    • Loan w/ purchase option
  • Barcelona also need to reduce their salary expenditure before bringing Sterling in.
    • May need to release more players

Dreaming is free, I don’t forbid anyone to dream, it’s good. Then let’s see if they come true. December is the month for dreaming with Christmas and the holidays, it’s still too early, let’s see what happens.

We don’t know why, but when we talk about Pogba in England, even the dead wake up. Some former Manchester United players, if they don’t talk about Pogba and me, they don’t talk about anything. So it’s better not to talk about it.

  • Multiple clubs (including Bayern Munich) are waiting for an opportunity to get Rüdiger for free.
    • Bayern Munich, at least, are willing to offer what Rüdiger wants.
  • Rüdiger, however, wants to stay at Chelsea, so he hasn't entertained any offers from elsewhere as of yet.
    • He is settled and at home in London.
  • Differences
    • Rüdiger wants €12m
    • Chelsea's last offer: €8.5m

  • Federico Dimarco
    • Contract talks are coming to a close
    • Announcement expected soon
  • Marcelo Brozovic
    • Inter are working to present a suitable offer to Brozovic's entourage,
    • Bayern Munich are monitoring the situation in case they can get Brozovic for free.

This might indicate that Bernardeschi would want more stability in and/or control of his career.
