Villarreal President Fernando Roig on the Emery rumours:
Emery is a great professional, I am convinced that at the moment he is only thinking about tonight’s game with Young Boys. I don’t know anything about these rumours about Newcastle, Unai has a contract with us and contracts they are made to be respected.

I hope he finishes his contract with Villarreal and thinks of nothing else, today and Sunday we have two complicated and important matches. I trust in Emery’s professionalism, I have no doubts about him.

The info's coming from the Mainz chief, not the Palace one. Mainz sporting director Christian Heidel on the Mateta loan + purchase option deal:

I don't really understand what happened here. He looked a handy target man type at Mainz and for France U-21, I'd have figured Vieira would have looked to the future and tried to establish him as their 9 and not tried to rejuvenate Benteke, though after signing Edouard and Olise you can certainly see how they'd rather spend the 15M his option would cost on a RB or a #6, where a decent young player who costs that much are definitely needed.

Maybe he has attitude problems? I mean Mainz first dropped and let him leave on an 18 month loan deal (bad for them, no/little money upfront, no certainty of a sale), when they were dead last in the table and he had scored 7 goals in 1000 minutes. It looked pretty suicidal at the time.

Looks like Unai Emery has committed himself to Villarreal.

The translated passage:
No matter how much noise there was yesterday in another country, within the club there was transparency and loyalty with the Roig family and with my squad, which is maximum, and for me it is the most important thing. Villarreal CF is my home and I am 100% committed. Honestly, I am grateful for the interest of a great club, but even more grateful to be here and that is why I communicated to Fernando Roig my decision to want to continue being part of this project because of the commitment and respect that I perceive from the club and from my players, which is mutual and reciprocal.

I want to thank the fans for the support they have always shown me. On Sunday we have a very important game and I hope that together we can achieve victory. See you at the Estadio de la Cerámica.

Barça accelerate to renew [the contract of] Ousmane Dembélé. The negotiation continues very well for days and it is clear that the will to stay of the French [player] is doing its thing. Everything can be closed very soon. The club hopes to sign the contracts within the second week of November.

Similar information from Gabriel Sans of Mundo Deportivo:

Fiorentina want €80m for Vlahovic. They are looking for an auction in January especially from the PL clubs.

I could see them going for Mislintat at the end of the season. Otherwise it's a bit surprising how long they have left this position vacant, while constantly telling the media who it isn't going to be.

Elneny's agent William D’avila on the Turkish clubs' interest in Elneny:
Galatasaray is a very big club, it is doing well in European cups and Galatasaray is one of the biggest contenders for the championship every year. It’s a good opportunity for Elneny, so he wants to play for Galatasaray. I see Galatasaray every week, we already have good relationships, but I see more than one player.

Mohamed Elneny’s contract expires at the end of the season, so he could make an advantageous transfer in January or sign a pre-contract deal with a team for the following season. So it’s important to think about that, because he’s free next summer – he’s getting free status. Of course he wants to come to Turkey.

Apart from Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Basaksehir, Besiktas or Trabzonspor are interested in Elneny. I can’t answer this question if Galatasaray is the only option in Turkey, of course Galatasaray has an interest because he will be a free agent, he is a good footballer, he knows Turkey, it is advantageous that he knows Turkey. I can say that Galatasaray is an important option for him, but I can’t say any more about it because it is too early to talk.

Among the last details to be defined between Juventus And Dybala on the subject of renewal there was the knot tied for the new deadline. Also defined this aspect: 30 June 2026. Jorge Antun is expected in Turin after the [international] break, after which he signs and announces.

More info:

Liverpool are one of the teams that are interested in Jude at the moment.

This is interesting.

I'm honestly surprised to see so many big teams looking at him (or these are just rumours being spread by his agent to try and increase his value).

He is certainly talented, but still very raw and not someone who can come into a starting XI for any of the clubs mentioned bar maybe Dortmund, but only due to their history of being more patient with younger players.

For his sake I think he should simply move to Dortmund. Haaland will likely move away at the end of the year and he will see plenty of playing time, either as a ST or as a wing-forward. Also the culture of the club and playing in the highest club competitions.
