Wanted to go to Everton on loan on the back of Henderson returning. We wanted a sale/weren't prepared to strengthen Everton with a loan. They had a strongish transfer window and appointed ancelotti.
And the rest. A fee of 2m was agreed and then later United changed it to 7m and Everton pulled out. Hence why Romero was so angry

Milan only have one fit goalkeeper in Tatarusanu. Both Maignan and their 3rd keeper, Alesssandro Plizzari, are out for a decent amount of time.

With all of these crazy transfer rumours associated with Newcastle United, we finally have our first reliable Newcastle United transfer rumour:

Source: RMC Sport
  • Real Madrid targeted him last summer.
  • Newcastle have already been in contact with Fofana's entourage.
  • PIF have notified Leicester of a formal offer in the coming weeks.
  • Fofana has a good relationship with Leicester and Brendan Rodgers, so he may not necessarily be so keen to leave the club.

What an odd choice of signing to target, considering he broke his leg pre season. Surely would want someone who could actually affect their fortunes this season.

  • Foden currently had 3 years left on his contract.
  • City want to secure his long-term future.
  • On a side note, Raheem Sterling future's up in the air.
    • Starting place lost
    • Wants to see how his situation develops before taking the next step
    • Did not hold talks beforehand as breaking away from his previous longtime agent Aidy Ward

Nkunku when asked about the Chelsea and Real Madrid links:
If I was thinking of other clubs, we might as well forget our season goals. Big goals of our own are only realistic if we achieve something with Leipzig. Otherwise, these questions do not arise. I still have a contract until 2024 and I feel very comfortable at RB Leipzig.

Roma want to extend Mancini's contract from 2024 to 2026 with a salary of €3m after taxes.

Deco (yes, the former Barcelona and Chelsea player) is Raphinha's agent, and he was asked both about Raphinha's current career trajectory as well as his future:
Leeds’ option was good, a solid club with a good coach. Leeds really believed in Raphinha and they signed him. During this entire period, we try to advise on the options we have, but in the end, the player builds his career as opportunities arise.

Raphinha has a market, and Leeds have high expectations, it was never a project in a hurry. He has ambitions to play at a higher level despite Leeds being in the Premier League. But this is not the time and his focus, things will happen naturally. Raphinha is happy at Leeds and for sure the time will come to take the biggest leap in his career, to take a step forward. He has a three-year contract, but it’s not the contract that defines the length of stay or prevents a transfer. Leeds are aware, they’ll want to make an important sale, and Raphinha will end up growing in his career.

Raphinha became an important player in the Premier League, the club knows he has grown and things will happen naturally. He is young, he has many challenges ahead, there are certainly several clubs that like him, and Liverpool do like him, there were approaches, but nothing official. Leeds wanted to keep him for another season.

On whether Raphinha wants to stay in the Premier League:
This is too hard. Every player has their dreams, their ambitions, children’s dreams, a number of things. But you can only make dreams come true on a daily basis. It’s important for the national team to give this prestige, playing for the national team gives prestige, but the day-to-day is fundamental, and he’s done it well at Leeds. Raphinha will play at the highest level for many years, I don’t know if in the Premier forever, but it’ll definitely be in the options.

I don't always find Rob Dawson to be reliable, but he does have his links, so here you go.
