Buy back.
Would you not have bought back Memphis this year, as an example?
Players can surprise you.
Buy back.
While I agree, buy back clauses aren't a bad idea, I definitely would have brought bavk Memphis. Not a chance, I think we actually did have a buy back for him anyway and chose not to.Would you not have bought back Memphis this year, as an example?

We had a buyback clause for Memphis for 4 years for 35M if I'm not mistaken, we just choose not to activate it.Would you not have bought back Memphis this year, as an example?

Dan James' doesn't have a high enough ceiling for a buyback clause to make sense. We're looking to sell for 15-20m. At best he gains confidence and stops missing sitters and he becomes a decent squad player for us (which he isn't now, which is why we're hopefully looking to sell him).
Memphis has ten times the technical ability of Dan James, but he played for us when we were awful and that affects people's opinion of him. James wouldn't have contributed anything of note under Mourinho/LVG and I'm not making excuses for how poor Memphis was.
Sorry but what's Depay got to do with Dan James?
- Loan + purchase option for €15m
- Torino are still looking to replace Lyanco.

Might actually force our hand to get rid of players we initially thought of keeping so he can take their minutes once he’s back from injury while also gaining key first team experience in a team he’s expected to be in long term wise. That Amad news is just a bit bizarre.
A muscle injury seems to be a weird reason to pull out of a whole season's loan deal? He'll be out for only a few weeks with that and now there's even a two week break for internationals

James has something depay will never have. Workrate, desire and determination. He maybe be a technically limited olay compared to depay but id have james over depay every day. Depay is the laziest player ive ever seen wear the utd shirt. Just awful and vastly overrated.Dan James' doesn't have a high enough ceiling for a buyback clause to make sense. He's not a brilliant winger or a covering back....so maybe somewhere between the twoI think he'll be a brilliant right-wing back.
Well, he'll get fit and go somewhere else. I don't think there's a restriction on when you can move on loanA real shame for Amad.

Ok, what about the Championship or another PL club? Many players have been poor/lazy for us under LVG and Mourinho. That's in the past now, maybe he wasn't ready for the EPL. Not preferring a player that's banging them in for Barcelona over a winger that scores 4 goals a season and we're looking to sell is just silly. I take it you think Martial and Lingard are better than Lukaku and Di Maria?
There is. Most countries only allow new additions to the squad during the winter and summer windows. Unless he goes to Croatia (with different windows) or something like Levitt did, he's "stuck" with us.
Well the talk has been 'it's possible.' You'd think if they were really committed to taking the kid on loan then they'd wait for a recoveryHas to be more to the Amad story than is being told. You don't pull out of a whole season deal off the back of a minor injury, surely?

Yeah. Just turning off the lights and locking up shop so abruptly as they [Feyenoord] have done, sounds very sus to meWell the talk has been 'it's possible.' You'd think if they were really committed to taking the kid on loan then they'd wait for a recovery
