Couldn't afford Lingard at £25m the other week as they were 'skint'. Now they're splashing £30m on Zouma? Doesn't add up.

My go to team on FM, when did they get bought out?
They are clearly prioritising improving defence and having watched yesterdays game i cant blame them. Not exactly a great mystery is it

It is when they are about to blow €30m on Vlasic.

Just seen that- the guardian article says the opted for vlasic over lingard as he is seen as better value due to being only 23. Seems we have priced lingard out of a move, if we are asking for 25m than that is ridiculous

Stéphane Bahoken is part of a list of attackers who interest Troyes but today the ESTAC track is not favored by the attacker. Montpellier positioned itself after the departure of Delort

West Ham are sure splashing some fecking cash if they’re going for Vlasic, Zouma and even Lingard if it’s true.

Knowing Gold and Sullivan’s notoriety to not spend throughout the years for Birmingham and West Ham, I’m guessing they’ve got windfall from somewhere like the imminent sale of Rice?

Yup. That’s exactly what I’m thinking…

Aye, looks like Chelsea are finally going to buy him.

Yes , but if we have room for him in our squad whats the point? Unless us and him wants him to get more game time I guess...
Because he isnt good enough and we need space for those who are

Couldn’t afford a CM but now we’ve splashed out on Ronaldo. Doesn’t make sense.

they needed a cb. They are playing Craig Dawson ffs

There's been a few reports that said that Joel Glazer(the cnut) was asked to do some "effort" and open his pocket and bring Ronaldo back, and he was given the Tom Brady analogy that brought their other club a championship.

‘ExWHUemployee’ has apparently said that Moyes is meeting Lingard after Uniteds game today to discuss the signing. I can’t find a tweet though but I think he has his own podcast and Patreon now, so doesn’t tweet as much

You can't go about boasting you have too much money when doing deals. ABC of business studies.

1 shot on target in 2 hours of a final. Couldn't afford a CM but now we've splashed out on Ronaldo. Doesn't make sense.
Ronaldo was an opportunity that arrived unexpectedly. As a football club and a business, you would do whatever to get the deal done, even if that means spending next seasons transfer budget or begging the bank.

Absolutely, I agree, can't turn down that winning mentality he has either.

No chance West Ham will sign Vlasic AND Lingard. I think James should be sold now. Maybe Wolves will want him if Traore is sold.

I don’t believe Ronaldo was unexpected. Olé has been hinting all summer, and I believe that’s what all the social media posts have been about too. I think the City links were just his agent applying pressure to make sure it got done.
