i checked. Shaw is claimed to be 1,85 m. Jones 1,8 and Lindelof 1,87.
Yeah I know. Jones is definitely taller than Shaw but I've no idea which one of those is wrong.

The 180cm figure you often see for Jones's height is wrong. Based off team photos, I'd put his height at around 187cm. As you say, he is clearly taller than Shaw:

Lisandro Martínez. 23. Linked to Barca recently. He nearly always plays as a centre back for Ajax!, but isn't really tall enough for that role; especially not in EPL. 2 years on his contract remains. Nice longshot, can compete well in the air (for a shorter block). Yes please.

PS: He's not short; he's about 5'10".

Is he a centre back or defensive midfielder? That tweet says he’s a defensive midfielder?

Ball-playing CB who can carry the ball into the opposition half and make astute passes when there. The tweet seems to have come from a very unreliable source. Available for £15m eh? But Barcelona, Valencia, and Milan interested in signing him. With 3 suitors and 2 years left on his current contract, why would Ajax sell him for so little? Who-scored list 80%+ of his starts at CB; but he looks quality and I think he could play CDM as well. TBH: I'm confused too. His videos make him look like a better Fred, but TransferMarkt also have him playing at CB for Argentina. 90 minutes in their recent 4-1 victory over Bolivia.

He can play both, but is best as a CB. Was largely a defensive midfielder in 2019/20 but played predominately at CB in 2020/21 and during his time in Argentina.

Cheeky bid for Marquinhos?
Seriously how would they get that money without selling Mbappe?

That's quite a sensational statement from L'Équipe. According to Loïc Tanzi of RMC Sport a few months back, they can't reinforce their team without selling/letting go of players. However, they mainly want to let go of their fringe/unwanted players (the likes of Draxler, Kurzawa, etc.). I don't think they're aiming for 180 million Euros, though; that looks like your typical L'Équipe exaggeration.

As announced by Sky Sport [Italy], Marseille [have] completed the arrivals on loan with a purchase option for Pau Lopez and Ünder. The keeper's purchase option is €15M and Ünder is around €8M. The two players arrive in Marseille at the beginning of the week to undergo their medical examinations.

For Pau Lopez, the purchase option becomes mandatory if the keeper makes at least 20 appearances for Marseille.

  • La Liga reducing their total salary (2.3 million Euros from 2.9 million Euros) means that Barcelona have to cut the wages of others players in order to give Messi a desirable-enough offer.
  • However, according to journalist Victor Navarro, most of the prominent players aren't keen on cutting their wages.
  • Sport Witness find the journalist's statement a little absurd. They claim that Messi would know by now that his "former" teammates won't reduce their salaries just so he'll get richer.

Di Marzio corroborate A Bola's claims that João Mario has a verbal agreement with Benfica to leave Inter.

Oh dear this is getting messy

sorry

Who's on the chopping block at PSG, then ?
Icardi, Rafinha, Pereira, Rico, Gueye, Sarabia to name a few I guess.

Despite Draxler wanting to stay and Poch willing to give him a chance, I wouldn't be surprised if he's also for sale. Maybe Kurzawa given his injury problems, but he's in a similar situation to Draxler.

I think the advisors' stance is based on the player being happy to return to Alavés, but as usual, it's all up to United now.

Call me crazy but I think it should be up to the club to make that decision, not the “player’s advisors”.

The player's entourage is only offering their own advice here. At the end of the day, I doubt that Pellistri and co. will be disappointed if he doesn't go back to Alavés. That's just the most convenient option at this time.

Renewals situation for both Chiellini & Cuadrado: for the captain [Chiellini], the signing is a mere detail [away], and after the European Championship there will be the official ceremony. For the Colombian, the negotiation has yet to go live, but the Juve wants to lock him up until 2023 and will talk about it shortly with Lucci [Cuadrado's agent].

They are right though. If hes going to be there on loan he should do pre season with that squad

Honestly incredibly disrespectful to ask any player, let alone veterans, to sacrifice pay just so you can pander even more money to Messi. He's already making a gargantuan salary...

Exactly. For this reason, I doubt that Messi would actually want the others to drop their salaries. If Barcelona can't afford the salary, then Messi will be okay with walking away.
