I wonder why United didn't sound out backup right wingers earlier in case Sancho couldn't be brought in. The fact that we started talks so late made it tougher for us to bring in a right winger for this season.
Cracking/underwhelming signing. Who the hell knows.
Hope he gets introduced to the team in a sensible manner. Poor James was brought in to come off the bench and learn, but ended up starting more games than half the squad.

Traore specifically - we are't spending close to £30m to have him just sit like a Lingard player on the bench surely. There must be a plan to put him into the first team set up, or at least a rotational first XI player.

Its because Woodward/Judge are absolutely incompetent af. And they need to get the feck out of our club.
Because, despite shamefully operating like a minnow, we’re Manchester United, one of the top 5 clubs in the world, and because he would surely back himself to start ahead of 32 year old Matic, and Ole would surely start him more than not. Sancho was seemingly happy to move here despite not being guaranteed to always start because we have greenwood coming through plus rashford and martial.
The board are just too inept to plan and manage more than a few signings in good time.

If United expect him to be a first-team squad player for the right wing, then we really were all-in on Sancho. For me, this concludes that Ole was only interested in Sancho and no one else; otherwise, the club would have looked at other wingers for the first team.
Still, I wonder why we couldn't enquire about a loan for Douglas Costa. Bayern Munich were able to get him on the last day. Despite what many think, he's still a threat from the right wing.
Yep, dreadful, failed to strengthen our three weakest areas with any new first teamers and ended with an embarrassing day flailing around in the market.
How come Bayern are able to loan players with an obligation to buy and then back out? If Dembele is signed and somehow manages to light it up by staying fit and being motivated, (I know it's a big ask but hey) he will cost a bomb next summer

It may be an easy answer, but the manager has a huge say on our incoming transfer options. If Ole was happy with other options, I'm sure we'd have sounded them out as well. The fact that we didn't, however, tells me that Ole was probably all in on Sancho and not quite interested in anyone else.
