Ed Woodward, the executive director of M.United, was the one who contacted Ousmane Dembélé's environment and with Barça. They had been trying to convince Dembouz for some time, that he wanted to continue at Barça. In the end, they have succeeded. In the Premier, Dembouz will leave for his qualities.

I guess it depends just how much he wants to come here. If he is dead set on coming to United great, an extra year should be fine. But he hasn't exactly had his agent throwing chairs around the boardroom Raiola style.

If we take a step back this year or don't finish top 4, im not sure he comes next year if he has other options. Then again, im just a bullshit on the internet who knows feck all.

Nor should he. He's doing the right thing and acting professionally towards a club he signed a contract with and who are a big part of getting him to where he is. It says more about his character that he's prepared to crack on and get his head down, leave the negotiating to the clubs and honour his contract if no agreement can be made.

Also, we have no idea what he's been doing, we get scraps from online journalists and have very little way of knowing what's being said or done behind the scenes.

Ouch-Man Dembele will spend half his tenure on the treatment table!

The original source is AS (more specifically, Santi Gimenez). Francesc Aguilar basically added more context to it via his own sources (who/whatever they may be). Apparently, the sale will fund Memphis Depay's transfer to Barcelona.

Gerard Romero also commented on it.

OJO!! A bombshell from Santi Gimenez, which is...

Dembele to UNITED!

  • Negotiations halted
  • Real Madrid want to keep him as they're looking to let Jovic leave.
  • Roma are still pursuing him.
  • Roma want a loan with a purchase option.

Building momentum this.

Top player on his day.

  • Valencia offered a loan with financial incentives should the loan go well.
  • Juventus rejected the offer.
  • Juventus are in no rush to sell the player.

50-60 million. Good price. They took a huge hit on him but that's how it usually works out.

If it s genuine, it would be the first time AS reports something remotely true :)

Juve transfer updates:

  • Douglas Costa: the player would like to stay at Juventus. No news
  • Rugani: for the moment [Juventus received] only loan requests
  • Khedira: negotiations ongoing for the contract termination
  • De Sciglio: no new offer

Interesting development, could it be a smoke screen to put pressure on Dortmund or is this genuine...?
Nah, looks very genuine. Seems most likely that we've given up on Sancho and will sign Dembele.

Can someone work out for me how much money Dembele would cost when you factor in the money we would receive in the eventual Depay to Barce deal?

It could end up being James while Dembele is being paid £200k a week to sit in the treatment room.
.

Gerard Romero offers his update:

DEMBELÉ. 09/29 now at 19.55

FCB denies negotiations with United

United is considering the operation, if it is in LOAN format, not to pay this summer

Dembelé has NO intention of leaving the FCB (for now)

All of this is now. There are 6 days left, anything can happen

You have to admire newspapers for putting integrity and a long search for the truth before clicks.

Today's the day that all United fans were craving; there's lots of transfer activity from United right now.

The Thing is, if we sign dembele then it basically rules out sancho United even next summer and potentially another premier league side will sign him.
