Is it just me, or are Barcelona not fully committed in their transfer activity?
I think there are internal conflicts going on with Koeman struggling to get the players he wants because he has not enough backingIs it just me, or are Barcelona not fully committed in their transfer activity?
I was about to suggest financial issues at Barcelona, but that's quite plausible, too.I think there are internal conflicts going on with Koeman struggling to get the players he wants because he has not enough backing
Smalling will move for sure, Jones less likely. Apparently he wanted to have an operation but club refused. These briefs are a fairytale story
Getting rid of Jones and Rojo in the same window is like winning the lottery
The way Ole speaks about wanting to buy players who want to play for United completely rules out this guy. I doubt the money is the issue because it's not a lot of money. It's the fact that this kid wants to use United as a stepping stone with release clauses and all that. When we buy a player investing millions, he becomes our asset on the balance sheet. We must control the rights and benefits arising from that asset. Just get Telles and move on from this guy.He wants to be at Madrid even though they don't want him. Lets not fund their transfer business. I criticize Woodward alot but of late he has woken up to people taking advantage of United.
David Alaba himself has spoken on the current situation.
Translation:
Unfortunately, the article itself is behind a paywall, so there's no way for me to summarise all of his quotes.
EDIT: More quotes
Messi staying complicated things further for Koeman.I was about to suggest financial issues at Barcelona, but that's quite plausible, too.
No club has approached Bayern for Alaba yet.
Negotiations started a while back. Alaba wants more money, but Bayern seemingly aren't willing to offer that. Uli responded to that by having a go at Alaba's agent and father, and they plus Alaba have responded accordingly. What's the crack with this Alaba thing?
It all seems a bit odd. Is anyone in for him or is he just looking for more money?
If a club comes in for Alaba, then perhaps. At the moment, there isn't one.So they are potentially selling both Alaba and Thiago in this window?

No club has bid for Alaba yet. I think the wages will be a stumbling block for most clubs.
Most of you may not care, but this is technically within the rules of the thread, and it concerns my local club.

@Klopper76 Do you know anything about him? All I know is that he's a left back (so he'll compete with Justin Morrow and Laryea/Auro), and he made an appearance in Liverpool's League Cup loss last season.
“Reguilón is close to going to Manchester United"
Whats even crazier is the team is exactly the same in terms of outgoings! We have so many players we can’t seem to shift.Literally the same story came out about 3 weeks ago this is mad
Can’t unsee. If James Rodriguez and Astroboy had a child...
Very weird.Anyone else find this a bit weird that Barcelona are all in for Depay?
Seems that only Koeman wants him there.Anyone else find this a bit weird that Barcelona are all in for Depay?
Yes. He is not good enough.Anyone else find this a bit weird that Barcelona are all in for Depay?
We sure do believe a lot of things.
Yes. He's an underwhelming footballer. If Barca do sign him, he'll be gone when Koeman is gone.Anyone else find this a bit weird that Barcelona are all in for Depay?
Can’t unsee.
