I think we can all forget the Sancho deal. I knew we were losing money but feck me 5mil per game is a massive loss. Before January we will lose 70 mil. That is Sancho money.
Can somebody please tell this thing to these irresponsible folks at Chelsea? They don't seem to mind spending despite empty stadiums do they?

What is he even saying? There are a few options, or there are few (not many) options? Regardless of whatever he says, there's tens of options
I took it as not many - maybe I’m being glass half empty but made most sense

I think we will sign Badiashile, and Telles this coming week. Bale could come instead of Sancho. ??

Why sign Bale? If we want a stop-gap, there are plenty of better options. If we can't get Sancho, I say we go for one of the many other high quality young right wingers around the world. For example, throw 50m at Traore of Wolves or ASM of Newcastle. Both would at least offer us something different on the right. ASM in particular would shine at Old Trafford.

Wish I could answer.
My SimonStonish is not that good yet.

Because they’re owned by a Russian Olicharch who wants to see his club on top again.

Sod waiting around for Liverpool to do something about Thiago lets go and get him,we need some sort of big name now Sancho looks dead in the water

What did Cooper mean when he was talking about us signing a younger player to be shown the ropes

I really really really do not want Bale. He clearly has no interest in club football and would cost an absolute fortune in wages. Waste of time.

I read it as a few options first time, but now I'm not so sure...

Our lack of ambition this summer has been stunning.

We signed what looks like a promising player in VDB, because his Real Madrid deal fell through and he was available relatively cheaply.

We have spent the summer trying to get Dortmund to sell a player they don't want to sell for 30% than the price they would be willing to let him go for. United will probably claim to be surprised when the deal doesn't get done and they end up with someone like Douglas Costa.

Now we are trying to get Real to give us a good deal on their backup left back.

I really hoped we would build on last season.

Think he's saying that there are a number of alternatives but very little time to close on a deal now.

This is an interesting signing for Udinese. I'm guessing he's coming in to take Fofana's spot in the squad.

I wouldn't be surprised if West Ham soften their stance the closer the transfer window deadline comes.

Werder Bremen confirm that Aston Villa did get in touch with them for Milot Rashica.

EDIT: Additional context

Bild are not so sure if Villa can get Rashica.

Maldini confirms that AC Milan haven't negotiated with Fiorentina for Federico Chiesa (to refute rumours in the local Italian papers?).

Chiesa is one of the best young Italians, there has never been a negotiation with Fiorentina for him, that is how things still stand today.

Apparently Villa are closing in on getting Bertrand Traore from Lyon.

The expected transfer fee should be at least 19 million Euros. The medical will be conducted in Denmark because Villa's DoF is currently there (his home country) and would rather oversee the transfer from there instead of going to England.

And that officially takes Sevilla out of contention for Sergio Reguilon. I wonder if there are other clubs that are willing to take Reguilon with a buyback clause. I'm thinking that a club like Wolves or Sporting CP can take him in either on loan or permanently with a buyback clause.

So this basically means that the transfer saga will go until the final day. The fact that Bale and Perisic are name-dropped also indicates that the club are looking for short-term fillers (not necessarily those two exactly, but players who can come in and deliver for a season or two before they can eventually go for Sancho).

Stone publishing this article is the club's way of either dampening expectations or a way to negotiate for someone else out of the blue.

I haven't seen this player in a while. Hopefully his health problems aren't affecting him in his everyday life.

The guy's only 23. I think that's a bargain, considering what we forked out for Maguire.

They play in completely different positions and have different footballing attributes. Theres a reason why he's only £30m and its because theres absolutely nobody else in for him. Decent but not amazing going forward and he's bang average defensively.

Former Chelsea player Oscar had an interview with Fox Sports Brasil recently where he talked about his future.

  • Luiz & Willian requested Oscar to join them at Arsenal.
  • Oscar desires a return to Europe.
  • However, he is willing to see out his contract with Shanghai SIPG.
  • Chelsea is his first choice.
  • Italy also interests him.

Thought the same about him from that EL semi final and been seeing a few posts similar. Not sure what's the play here , are we trying to provide competition to Brandon Williams ? If he can't replace/cover for Shaw any better than Williams , then even at 30m, thats a lot of money for an average signing unless there is raw potential .

The way Ole speaks about wanting to buy players who want to play for United completely rules out this guy. I doubt the money is the issue because it's not a lot of money. It's the fact that this kid wants to use United as a stepping stone with release clauses and all that. When we buy a player investing millions, he becomes our asset on the balance sheet. We must control the rights and benefits arising from that asset. Just get Telles and move on from this guy.He wants to be at Madrid even though they don't want him. Lets not fund their transfer business. I criticize Woodward alot but of late he has woken up to people taking advantage of United.
