Would like to have a LB cover for Shaw as he is unreliable as feck when it comes to fitness.

Even a fit AWB struggled towards the end of the season when games came in thick and fast so it makes sense to bring in a quality LB regardless.

To be honest, I would prioritise a LB over a CB. Surely if we sell Jones, Smalling and Rojo, we can surely bring in both?

Hard to tell if the club is prioritising a LB or CB this summer. Which would people prefer if we could only sign one?

I think initially we were looking for a CB but there doesn’t seem to be any top quality ones available for prices that would allow us to go for Sancho as well. I’d take sorting out the LB spot and bringing in a more attacking option. If we bring in Reguilon and Sancho (and maybe Thiago) then we have a very very good squad going into next season.

DDG/Hendo
AWB/Williams -Lindelof -Maguire-Reguilon/Shaw
Matic/Thiago - Pogba/Fred
Bruno/VDB
Sancho - Martial/Greenwood - Rashford

Only getting Thiago if he lowers demands a bit or we are able to remove some more deadwood off that bill

Yeh, hence the maybe. I think if Liverpool don’t shift Wijnaldum - which will depend on if Barca keep Messi or not (I imagine them increasing his contract for another year if he stays). Then Thiago will realise we’re the only option.

LB. I don’t particularly rate Lindelof but I think it’s far easier to upgrade Williams/the constantly injured Shaw than it is to upgrade at CB.

Genuinely surprised at the amount of people lapping this Thiago stuff up. It's clearly absolute nonsense and a ploy to get the scousers to up their offer.

We've just signed 2 midfielders since January, both of whom are very good players. We won't be signing any more central midfielders this window. It's now arguably our strongest area of the squad as things stand. In fact it's not even arguable, it is. Signing even more when we have far bigger issues elsewhere would be utter lunacy.

Still hoping the Reguilon stuff picks up pace but nothing remotely reliable

More details: Solskjær has talked to Thiago in person. But so far the wage demand is too high. Too high. Solskjær is interested in signings such as play for United for the "right reasons" and not because of money.

So this is how it is now: Unless Thiago lowers wage demands, it's just a matter of forgetting United's transfer. The ball is with him.

I know Thiago is awesome player, but last time we signed a stardusted central midfielder around his 30s from Bayern - it didn't work out so well.

Think it's there because of how cheap he is and is a top drawer player who can play in the same area as Matic but is a DLP rather than a DM.

Trust me this is completely different because Bayern don't want to sell Thiago whereas they were more than happy to let Bastian leave as he was declining
