My guess is that sponsors have started reeling in their funds and may be cancelling or not renewing agreements due to the covid economy. There may be little initial loss of sponsor revenue but forcasted revenue is most certainly going to take a big hit in the near future.What does the second part of that even mean? Is anytime a club ask for a fee overpaying now? No way is VDB overpriced.

I dunno, maybe he needs a better agent. It could be that he rejected offers too. Surely a club in Portugal would take him. I just think if clubs are willing to loan him, there will be clubs willing to buy him. Both the club and himself need to lower their expectations.

Don't think ive ever seen him play as a real dcm. Just checked some Ajax forums, they see him going to Utd. They also think a midfield of Bruno, Pogba and VDB wouldn't work, I tend to agree.
It's surely either VDB or Grealish. No chance we go for both.
VDB looks a good player from the clips I've seen but doesn't seem a standout player in terms of technical quality. Maybe he's a bit of a Muller type player who is a lot better than he appears? Grealish on the other hand looks more naturally talented to me.
Van de beek would be shrewd business, but I'd be amazed if he doesn't go to Barce

Not the same position. Grealish is attacking midfielder and VDB is central midfielder. I think that we need mc more than amc. Only quality cover for midfielders is Fred. We need another central midfielder. Not saying that we don't need cover for attacking positions. We do but if it is him or Grealish, i would take him. Despite i like Grealish. I like all players who are strong on the ball
Well look he's only 24 or whatever so hopefully he gets some regular footie, plays well and someone buys him next summer.

I would be happy with the Beek signing. We need good cover for our CM positions and he certainly is a cut above the midfielders outside of the top 3. Starting 3 of Pogba, Matic and Bruno with cover like Fred, McT and VDB would be very good. It would also mean, more room for Sancho money!
