How can Chelsea afford €80m + €20m for Havertz after signing Werner, Ziyech as well as probably Chillwell for €50m and Silva on massive wages and we won't spend €120m on Sancho?
Their owner/ board / DoF are all singing of the same sheet. Trophies.

Manutd owners / Ed are on different books to the manager and fans. Profit v trophies
They have two transfer windows' budget put together into one whilst we only have one. Last summer, they barely signed anyone (Kovacic) whilst we brought in 3 different players (2 of which for relatively big fees).

Back to more transfer news:

Torino want Vojvoda to replace Lorenzo de Silvestri.

Chelsea, Liverpool and City have a clear strategy of winning trophies. Their owners especially Chelsea and City are motivated by winning trophies and they spend to achieve that. That culture is gone at United, the Glazers just care about top 4 and money for their dividends. Most United fans can not see this. Listen to what Ed Woodward said to Klopp in trying to recruit him. Manchester United is like an adult Disneyland, what serious manager would join a club that talks that kind of vision? The Liverpool hierarchy sold a plan to Jurgen that he couldn't refuse. A plan to win trophies. We don't have that.

If we don't invest heavily this summer I can begin to buy into this theory

They had a two window transfer ban, so they have some extra cash to spend.

This is not the only summer Chelsea have spent money to make it look like a one off. They have done this before the transfer ban, they bough Pulisic and Kovavic £90m

Transfer windows dont work like that btw. Does that mean if Liverpool dont spend money this summer too they will have £300m to spend next summer?

It's a budgeting decision and it can definitely work like that in the case of a ban if the club can allocate the funds. Liverpool not spending money this summer will be because they don't have any. Different story.

And United spent more than 180m last season and I bet the club will spend more than 100m this season too.

So you are now a Liverpool financial expert?

They havent spent money in 2 seasons. They have won the CL and PL. Maximum revenue. New sponsorship deal with Nike.

Until we spend money we don't know how much we will spend.

I love how Chelsea's Hazard money gets taken into consideration yet us selling Lukaku for £70m is ignored...

Glazers bought Utd with Utd's own money. They never have put 1 penny of their own money into the club. They TAKE dividends every year OUT of the club for themselves as shareholders. All this nonsense Glazers have spent loads of money is absolute crap. It's our own money which we have generated. And we would have more if we didn't pay them leeches dividends or interest on the loans.

Well exactly. It could end up being more than Chelsea for all you know.

All the talk is about what is happening until now.. We are talking about the facts that are infront of us now.

Other clubs have spent money, we haven't. We may go on to spend money then I am sure people will shut up.. until then fans are allowed to have opinion and raise questions for the lack of activity.

We start the season in a month... we have seen how long this club takes to negotiate deals.. It does not look good.

As Dwazza said, it's budgeting decisions. Clubs can decide how much they want to spend in a summer. We won't know exactly what their plans are, but based on the activity this summer, it seemed like Chelsea would have been set to replace Hazard and improve the team after his and Morata's sales.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions at this stage. Just because Chelsea agreed a fee on Havertz doesn't mean that we aren't willing to improve. There haven't been any reports on us pulling out of the Sancho deal, and there's very little to no coverage of our transfer activity this summer unlike the past few summers.

We have more than a month to go. That's a long time. Our recent big deals like Maguire and Pogba were both done a few days before the season started. There's no benefit to signing players now when they'll be on holiday anyway. There's still time left before we start to panic.

Young English defender Jonathan Panzo is going to move to FC Dijon from Monaco.

Translation:
Agreement between Jonathan Panzo and Dijon. There are still some details to settle between the clubs. 3 or 4 year contract

It's annoying that we have some fans who defend these useless owners who clearly have held this club back, a club with huge potential to be playing Champions league finals regularly. The stadium is as it was 15 years ago, we have not contested for the premier league for 8 seasons, Woodward keeps making same mistakes every transfer window. When our fans wake up to these failures one day, may be Manchester United can rise again.

Apparently, West Ham will record a 5 million Pound loss on Jordan Hugill after selling him to Norwich City.

The start of further transfer activity for West Ham?

Well, seeing as they were all in to get government funds to pay their furloughed non-playing staff a few months back and only u-turned on it when faced with loads of criticism, I'd say they aren't flush with cash at the moment, yeah.

Spurs did the same - will spend money already got one
Arsenal asked for pay cuts and redundancies - 200k on Willian wages and £30m on a CB, next is a CM

Cagliari are pursuing Ajax's Razvan Marin. Club Brugge and Rennes are also interested.

We still have quite a few players to move on from the club as well. I don't know if player sales will be used to balance out these massive signings or if it will be used to immedietly reinvest.

Bakayoko, Batshuayi, Drinkwater, Emerson, maybe one of our midfielders like Barkley or Jorginho. All should bring in decent money.

We surely won't be done after Chilwell, Silva, and Havertz. Still need a keeper and maybe even a surprise addition we haven't even been expecting.

Chelsea will definitely get a new goalkeeper in as well as probably another central defender, but further signings will require sales according to the reliable journalists. In terms of outgoing activity, there are only reliable reports on Tomori and Emerson. Jorginho's quietened down now, and who knows who Chelsea would sell after getting Havertz?

It was pointed out to you that Chelsea had money to spend in previous windows but weren't allowed to, fully explaining how they are able to spend so much this window. It's a smart move to keep that earmarked for transfers.

What I'd said about Livepool was largely speculative but it does seem like they don't have the funds to invest in player registrations. All those titles come with lots of player bonuses and contract renewals.

Arsenal terminated over 50 employees to be able to sign Willian on a free. I'd be interested to see how they are structuring Gabriel's fee. Who cares about Spurs?

Lets be honest, with or without the transfer ban, Chelsea would have spent the money because they have a rich owner who is willing to invest.

Liverpool and Manutd are run in similar ways by Americans who do not want to invest heavily.

We can all talk about heavy investment by our club over the last few years, but the money has been spent terribly. Who's fault is that? the board.
