We did do the the favor of buying Lukaku for a billion dollarsThat will be amazing. They paid us good money for Schneiderlin too. Must be bigger mugs than we are.

Blacklisting a journalist (with real world links) on Twitter is like blacklisting some dice because they haven't given you a 6 in a while.
If they don't fit in Ole's plans why are we targeting them? And why isn't Ole identify players that do fit his plans?
I am old enough to remember Utd chasing Guarin and one time think we were interested in Ribery right.
Why don't you just get rid for 5 or 6m and take the 6m hit and get rid of his wages as small as they are ?
So, literally the same problem that we had with it.
we haven't signed him
Also greedy agent(s).
I think after several years of poor signings and poor performance, you are giving those who set the direction of the club too much credit.
I've already said that I no longer do. The point you replied to was staying that the Glazers are profiting from the position the club built while I was spending money on it.
Manchester United didn't become a global super club under the watch of the Glazers and Ed Woodward, even if they have used the success of their predecessors to sign a few sponsorship deals.
Fans are stakeholders in football clubs without contributing financially. The club you support isn't a local newsagents you don't quit using because you don't like the owner and can find 5 more down the street.
To suggest you can is just flippant and offers less to the conversation than those who just moan incessantly about not signing galacticos.
You have to remember that Spurs are pushing for a title challenge with City and Liverpool their targets. We are battling with Leicester, Wolves, Everton for the 4-6th places. The former needs a different calibre of player and more investment
Nice. Sell 26 yrs old prem proven striker. Get 33 year old Mandzukic. Only way is up fellas!
Just how much of a nightmare are Dybala's image rights?!
That doesn’t really correlate with our summer business though, we’ve made 3 seemingly very well thought out and sensible signings.I think he has identified players. Longstaff was clearly identified and there were probably one of two others we are not privy to.
The way we are structured seems to overly complicated transfer deals. We seem to string things along only to then jump into rash decisions that could have been avoided.

Less than 5 hours. Absolutely no chance. It's a positive, but not the business that will push us on another level. Still holding out hope of a midfielder to miraculously arrive before the deadline.
Lukaku is an absolute abysmal footballer, technically. A good goalscorer but does not suit the way Ole wants to play. Mandzukic is a good option to have. Great hold up, great touch, very intelligent - all things that Lukaku didn't have.
Agreed. Lukaku barely played under Ole so it's reasonable to expect that Mandzukic won't play much either, only difference is that Mandzukic might actually be effective for us.I don't mind him as back up and big personality in the dressing room
He's a good defensive striker, can score big goals and is flexible in his position
Miles better as a stop gap than some of the dross we have been linked to in last couple of days
He would not cower leading the line at Anfield

Still doesn't excuse how shit our midfield is though.

I don't really understand this interest.
Is he a prolific scorer? (Not really)
Is he Zlatan MkII? (Not really)
Has he got 2 legs and able to run around? Yup!
Well we clearly want a backup striker. He's a cheap option who offers something different to Rashford/Martial. He's not exactly going to be starting every game for us, so being prolific isn't a concern. Just as long as he can offer something different in games where we might need to change our tactics. Lukaku, outside of a few games, was utterly hopeless so in my eyes it's an improvement.I don't really understand this interest.
