Just as there are tweets relating to United that are getting responses, you pop up with your usual attention seeking shit. Honestly to sit there and spend this much time all for recognition as a complete twat is truly sadness taken to a new level. You’ve single handedly ruined this thread. How the feck this isn’t considered a clear WUM is beyond me.

Oh bore off lad.

In case you hadn't noticed, this is the transfer tweets thread for general news, NOT a United only thread.

There are plenty of other fans of other teams on this forum who care about news related to other teams, particularly if it's a done deal and not just gossip. Being a Charlton fan, I myself am personally quite interested in his post for starters!

If it's not you, don't read it. Simple as.

Y'all talking about pounds and euros like you just sold a classic car on Ebay.

Who gives a feck if it's 73 or 80 or 10?!

It's not our money.

He's gone.

Well I’m one of those people who think we are better off without Lukuku even if we don’t buy a replacement.

He’s a poor striker, and clearly he’s toxic. Very happy to throw his team mates under the bus, to try and promote himself.

Will be instantly forgotten, worst first team striker in 30 years for Utd (clearly I’m not talking about the likes of Dong or Bellion).
Hyperbole much? Some people are really blinded by their dislike of this guy. Wasn't great for us, but also wasn't as poor as you claim he was.

He has a 1 in 2 record for a poor ‘top side’, has scored goals throughout his career, is a good age and has three years left on his contract in a market where he was highly sought after

I think a competent negotiating team would have done a better job for us

Have you ever watched him play?

The guy is a donkey, and is not fit to be a striker at a top club (I don’t consider Inter to be a top club) - no other club on the world would pay a half decent fee for him. We have done well to get this fee.

No you don't. You still have to make the actual cash payments(if there are any still pending, but in this case you'll simply give them the money inter give you)

The moment you sell him he comes off the books. If you signed him for let's say 90(full add ons, bear with me here) on a five year deal then his value at this moment is £54m. By selling him for £60m you register an initial profit of £6m, which will rise once the add ons are met

Presumably as we're 2 years through his 5 year deal we internally list his value as 2/5 of what we bought him for.

Lukaku's value on our books is c.£50m. We're making a loss on the transfer but it's a profit on the accounting book.

Yeah I was talking about the transfer itself. I thought people were actually saying that even though our payments to Everton were amortised, now that we’ve sold him we wouldn’t have to make them :wenger:

All good now

I agree with you on his being a piece of shit

Delighted he’s leaving and just annoyed that we aren’t replacing his prolific 15 goals, such is the dire state of the rest of our team

You're the one who doesn't get it: amortization and payment are different things, unrelated

Actually that was my whole point. Calm down lad. Lukaku isn’t that bad, you’ll see.

How they feeling about their new signing?

Sky reporting Arsenal will get Tierney and David Luiz

If this happens, everyone in the top 6, maybe top 8, teams will have had a better window than us and also heavily outspent us.

Since Jan, we have massively reduced the wage bill and lost strength in numbers in midfield and up front.

Go Glazers!

This from a club who a couple of months ago were apparently so poor they could only afford to take him on a 2-year loan before signing him for something like £40m? Would've been nice to see Inter make this bid a bit sooner. Oh well, we can only hope the timing of this means we have someone lined up to spend the Lukaku money on by tomorrow.

In all seriousness, can you think of a worse main striker that we've had, than Lukaku, in the last 25-30 years? Fringe players not included.

Have to assume that's the case. There was no rush for United to sell if they aren't going to spend the money. We'll get one more midfielder over the line tomorrow and most people will be happy. If they don't, I can only assume that Woodward and co. are prepared for riots at the ground.

Didn't mean to come off aggressive, sorry about that. And yeah, that was my bad, misunderstood your initial point

But also, feck off, how dare you make me look like a cnut on the internetz

It’s as though... we’ve been played
