However, Manchester United have fallen in love with Cherki and have made initial concrete steps to sign the player with a meeting occurring between the Red Devils and the young teenager’s parents recently. English sources claim to Foot Mercato that people close to him have even visited Manchester United’s facilities, shown around by the club’s coaches.

Now, more than ever, Aulas wants Cherki to sign the dotted line

This would be huge

United and PSG supposedly offering Lewandowski to join them, with contract talks for an extension with Bayern stalling.

Can't see him joining tbh since he's surely looking for CL football and is probably just haggling for a better deal for his final contract.

If it's possible though, would you take him?

+
30-40 goals/season striker
Might be gettable for less than 100 m
Very professional player

-
Probably only 4 years of top level football (max) in him
Wages surely 350k or above

Not sure about the reliability of that source but I'm pretty sure I remember Lewandowski's agent/entourage throwing our name around to get a better deal when he was negotiating with Bayern. I'd be stunned if he joined us to be honest.

transfermarkt.de names german sports magazine KICKER as their source. Couldn't find a link though, so it might be the print version they are referring to. Kicker usually is pretty reliable but as you said Lewandowski probably just wants a pay rise, so I wouldn't give this one too much thought.

He stated a few months ago that his family is very happy in Munich and that the thoughts of leaving are long gone. I call BS on that article.

Yeah, when you look at the two linked - two clubs that would have to pay considerably more in wages to lure him away, the motive seems a tad obvious.

I bet Woody paid top dollar for those hoes to lure Sancho to Old Trafford and now they are fading faster than Alexis' career.

Not sure why hoes be effecting our deal for Sancho, though.

Well if we’re only planning on adding James as our only attacking option then we're taking a massive, massive gamble. I don’t like it.

I hope that report is complete shite because if some Championship player who played 80% of his career as a left winger is what Ole believes is going to fix our major problem of having no right winger, then he is just simply deluded.

James to be brought in as a starter has to be some sort of Vladislav Surkov-esque theatre of the absurd to confuse and bewilder our opponents.

I'm looking forward to the real strategy unfolding.

Pretty sure he won't be brought in as a starter, this is similar to signing Dalot

Getting rid of Lukaku and Sanchez and then left with Rashford, Martial, Lingard and James. 3 inconsistent youngsters and one old inconsistent youngster.

Sancho's 19 as well. He's exciting but will also be inconsistent. We definitely need more experience in attack.

We can sign other players too. Also it's better to have inconsistent youngsters than shit old players who are on high wages and contributes nothing.

To be fair, Daniel James would be the most expensive player he has ever signed. He simply has no experience recruiting at this level - his annual transfer budget at Molde was 400k.

How about just signing consistent players?

Of course, but this is about retaining and selling players. We have inconsistent youngsters and poor old players who are on massive wages. Logical thing to do is shit the old players on high wages as they don't contribute anything and try to sign better players at right age.
