I used to love it. Now it's just getting annoying. Now it's like the Ents in LOTR. One tree says something and then it's said to every tree, only for it to be repeated back to the millions saying it's bullshit. And Repeat.
Nah, Treebeard would do business way quicker than Woodward and co!

£315k a week and Dybala apparently wants £350k? Pay up.

Edit: assumed Italy's top tax bracket was 50% but it's 43%, so it's actually £295k as IrishRedDevil says.

Did they not bring in a ‘Beckham law’ of sorts this year or last? I thought that’s why there had been a bit of a Serie a resurgence as they were getting tax breaks for players.

I don't mean to be rude, but why do people bother posting transfer tweets on lower league teams? The best thing about transfers is the excitement. Not sure how thrilling it is to know Newport are signing some random player on a loan...

Haven't you heard, we're an all inclusive forum for fans from all teams, not just Manchester United. Quite why fans from other teams, let alone those from the lower league, would want to come to a man utd forum for transfer news beggars belief but hey ho that's the state of things these days. Just don't go saying anything negative about this, you'll be e-bullied

Find a new forum, we have enough moaners

People can never seem to wrap their head round Twitter accounts which translate / regurgitate transfer information from various media outlets and reporters.

SilentWitness still get slated for being a shit source, its baffling how people still don't understand their function. Now this Hash guy is getting it. Fecking hell.

That hash guy should not be posted, it's clear many mistakenly take him for a reliable source in himself, when he is just a fan, and this leads to confusion.

Hi Bullhitter.I think people are underestimating Lukaku.
He's playing in an extraordinary average United side. The service to him is borderline non existant.

When you see him play for Belgium he seems a classier player..In his first season for united he did very well.I think he will flourish with good service.

Hi bud. Lukaku to me falls in that weird category of player, other similar players are James Rodrigues, Sigurdsson, is another, that is a great player for a good team but will never be a good player for a great team. That's the best way i can describe it. Juve are aiming to be a great team and I don't think he fits there. I think he's a much better bet than Rashford to score 20+ goals if given the same minutes though so by no means am I doing him down as a player.

Cant wait some transfer (if) to us to reach a boiling point and then out of nowhere Fridge pops out and turns this whole place into Chernobyl.

I know everybody is trashing fecking Ed Woodward. Does anybody know what Matt fecking Judge do?

This thread is what made me sign up here in the first place. I like having one source where all the transfer news, gossip and rubbish is available in one place. It's the only way I get it because I refuse to give clicks to the media or attention to ego maniacs on twitter.

Only for new workers that haven't lived in Italy for a few years. You're going to see a LOT more players like Moise Kean moving abroad with the view of going back to take advantage of the new tax soon.

Attention seeking bullshit is the answer.

Maguire looks close and Dybala is atleast progressing. But it will haunt us if we pass on Fernandes

The executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has clocked up the air miles since that premature departure from Australia on 'urgent transfer business' six years ago but figures at United have clarified Matt Judge is primarily tasked with securing signings.

A certain anonymity is useful and Judge's Linkedin profile is not accompanied by a photo. His bio reads: "'Managing Manchester United's equity and debt capital structure - three equity offerings incl the IPO, totalling over $450m; and three debt refinancings ($1bn+) - debt private placement, term-loan and RCF. Also player negotiations (transfers and playing contracts).

I see:(

Not going to lie, I absolutely love Mandzukic. If we had he and Rashford to rotate as strikers I'd be very happy, he's a proper warrior.

At this rate deadline day is gonna end up like the Daily Mail night desk on The Thick of It. Fecking chaos

In 7 days we are going to have had an absolutely shit hot window or an absolutely shit one. It's getting too close to call.

Lukaku + Darmian for Dybala + Mandzukic would be the craziest transfer in years

I suspect that the Mandzukic business is in case Dybala doesn’t come here. Juve (or Inter) could get pay cash for Lukaku, which would still leave us a striker short. Mandzukic maybe could be an option as a less fat stop gap alternative to Ben Yedder.

It doesn't make sense to get both Dybala and Fernandes, so we've obviously made the decision to go with Dybala instead.

We could really do with a holding midfielder, though - a specialist ball winner, especially if we're playing a 4231 with Pogba as part of the pivot.

The following players would really give our team a lift:

Dybala
Maguire
Ball winner

If we don't get a ball winner this transfer window, then we'll probably go all out for Declan Rice the next.

Definitely know which club I think would be getting the better deal. It would be like something out of Fifa. The Tweet did indicate the deal was completely seperate from the potential Lukaku/Dybala one, I can't see Darmian ending up at Juvenuts though, they'd have to be proper mental to agree to that.

I hope we don't end up swapping Lukaku for just Mandzukic. He's a good player and all but he's 33.

What are we asking for from Inter, 80m? Then it'd probably be 79m + Mandzukic. He's 33. If they want to clear him off the wage bill, they'd really need to drop a fee. But I like him.

Martial will be our main 9 during the upcoming season, in my opinion. Mandzukic would give us a different option, though.

Mandzukic would give us a good option for a year or two, while Rashford, Martial, Greenwood etc either develop and step-up - or don't, in which case we could go big on a new striker next year.

Honestly if we can get c.£75m plus Mandzukic for Rom, and bring in Maguire and a CM I'd be pretty happy.

Be hard to say no to that deal alright.
