So? They asked him his opinion and he gave it. Sky took 2 different quotes and merged them to make it seem like one. Typical journalist bull.

Yes I understand the context was spun to get clicks and reactions. But for me the club knowing something months and months ago should have had better planning in place. They know who they want to sell (again we struggle due to stupid wages) and I'm sure they also know who wants to leave. The other clubs having an advantage in the window would surely mean we dont feck up our own window. 7 days left to not do that.

I tend to air on the side of us not being particularly good in transfer windows based on past history.

Man, who will come out of this better? £90m for Maguire is the textbook definition of being mugged. Can’t see any resale value in that but let’s hope adding the most expensive defender in football history will win us lots of trophy.
With few exceptions like Ronaldo, we're not a "selling club" so resale value is pretty meaningless to us. If he succeeds he'll be at United until his career is winding down.

News reports made today stating that Leroy Sané has decided to join FC Bayern do not correspond to the facts.

Tottenham actually bidding a second time for Bruno Fernandes when United need him more but aren't interested....Can this window just end? I wish I can unlove this club but I just can't.

So if Spurs bid for Bruno 45m and it was according to the media rejected, they have to pay him 5m right? So what now, price goes even higher or what if another team now bids over his release clause and they reject again?
Some reports earlier in the summer were about this being a difficult deal due to the release clause since no one wants to upset player/agent/clubs or something like that. I don't know, now I feel like I'm rambling, just trying to get my head around this one. Hope we go for him as well as Dybala/Maguire

Hope to feck this is just crap. If we don't get sign him after we have had free reign on him. Would really p!ss me off:mad:

You’ve had 77 days. The sheer incompetence of the club is staggering.

Is it incompetence, or have the Glazers turned off the money spigot? If Ed had 250 million to spend, he would spend it - not well I might add - but he would spend it.

I think they just pay him 5 million if he starts the season with Sporting. If someone bids and it gets accepted after the clause was activated I'm sure he would wave the fee of the first rejection so he gets the move.

It's the opposite of incompetence, mate. It's very competent work.

This was the plan all along and everything has gone to plan. We've spent feck all and only intend on spending more if Lukaku and/or Pogba leave (although conveniently, this would still be next to impossible with only days left in the window).

Woodward hasn't got to where he is today by being incompetent, lads. Everything he does is intentional. This was his intention - hire a low maintenance manager, give him little funds, get him to get the fans onside by playing youth and claim the future looks bright etc....

Ed and the Glazers used the no value in the market last summer also. Nothing new.

Same boat as you, our board makes me sick honestly. Not just that but the treatment of our fans, you have the biggest fan base in the world and yet we get messed around every fecking day

It's not our board's fault that you believe the garbage the press spew on a daily basis.

How do so many of you get all worked up over these tweets and 'reports' but then act all holier-than-thou about everything those Reddit ITKs say being fabricated?

Sorry. Mr. Woodward I would advise you to start negotiating as soon as the window opens, in fact start the groundwork before then. I think you will find things will progress with a lot less stress for yourself and the fans.
I would add to this and say 'pack your bags, you've been a disgrace to man utd'

But I believe interviews and press conferences which have promised far more than what we have now...
What was promised? To my knowledge, Ole said he hopes to have another couple of faces in before the window closes. The window hasn't closed yet.

The press and their desperate pursuit of clicks are worse than they've ever been. The vast majority of what they come up with is just shite.

The quote on that tweet is misleading. If you watch the video Ole actually says he's not in favour of the window closing earlier than the rest of Europe as European clubs can hover around your players for a few more weeks. He doesn't say anything about not having enough time to sign players.

yup. The Sky tweet with the short quote is intentionally worded that way, of course. Too bad many fans just blindly follow and crap on Ole too.

Sporting may have been using us to try and sell an asset that they no longer want. This was @Judas theory and I'm starting to believe it too unfortunately.

This could be true. But if anybody at the club thinks that by adding a young right back, implementing cohesive game plan and improving fitness we can somehow bridge a 30 point gap... Well that person is an idiot of the finest sort.

His worry must be the situation surrounding Pogba. We can't replace him if he leaves after the deadline and we can't replace him now in case he doesn't.
