Yea a loan deal is always easier to put together.
The truth as always is probably somewhere in the middle.
Does he want to leave beautiful Italy...probably not.
Does he want to leave a successful team with lots of recent investment...probably not
Does he want to join a team with recent struggles and little sign of overcoming them quickly...probably not
But...if he is getting dashed by Juve, is United a project he could buy into versus a secondary team in Italy that has little prospect of achieving anything...probably
The Glazers have to realise positivity and investment breeds upwards momentum. Not investing can lead to ever declining spirals.
A project can be exciting for a player if it's got real potential. Middle of the road for star players is not going to pull in the big names.
We are finely balanced between a decent project and a waste of premium years after 26! 2 or 3 big players and we start looking like we can be something of interest.
It depends. If we get James, AWB, Maguire and Dybala/Fernandes, it's not a lack of activity for sure. But the signigns do have been good ones at the same time.
