This surely can't be true. Why would Sporting Lisbon risk an injury just so he can play essentially a friendly. We aren't interested otherwise the deal would have been done by now.

That's my concern too to be honest. But if we have the wherewithall to keep Pogba, bring in a top CB, RB, pacey attacker and Bruno, then it would have been a very successful window.

The only way I can see it work is if we have Dybala up front as a kind of supporting striker (like Firmino is to Liverpool), with Rashford/Martial/James/etc either side of him. Then a midfield 3 of Pogba, Bruno and a DM.

Going off my memory he's usually a lot more reliable when he indicates that the deal is pretty much done. When he writes that "the deal is in the works" or "the club is interested" he's a lot more hit and miss.
