What does this "..., sky sport news understands" exactly mean?
I'm not a native speaker and I understand what they want to say with it, but according to my english lessons "understands" stands for "to know something because someone explained it or you learned/heard it before".
Why should this phrase be used in a transfer tweet? Especially about rumors? Was there a guy their and told them all this and after this guy left, this tweet was everything they understood from him?

It's an ancient tradition from the BBC. Basically when the BBC writes "the BBC understands..." it means it is almost certainly true. They've built a rock solid reputation on that phrase and is basically the next best thing to official confirmation.

When sky writes "sky sports understands" it probably means someone called in an anonymous tip and they are reporting it because that's still more solid than any other sources they have.

Selling Pogba this late might be suicidal. But then again keeping him against his will might backfire if he downs tools and spoils the team spirit. It's a shit situation. Let's hope he will be professional.

Pogba isn't like that, he's a consummate professional, loves United and has the utmost respect for Ole.

He will wait for his move in the same way Hazard did. He also needs to perform this season, to maintain RM's interest.

This could be because of Asensio´s injury, although I would sell him anyway, I don´t mind if he goes to Atlético. There is still all august to decide what to do with him
Surely you'd be better off keeping Bale than James? He's a much more direct replacement for Asensio, no?

Bale and Zidane have no relationship. As much as he has won they have reached a point where they detest each other, and more after what Barnett said about Zidane.
His presence brings nothing good.

It essentially means, that they have learnt the information from a third party.

So they 'understand' it to be true, but can't confirm themselves

Ive been beating the drum for a while now - do NOT rule out Pogba leaving AFTER our window closes. Ideal situation for the Glazers. Pocket the lot and claim the offer was too good to refuse, even at the last minute. Get Ole to tell us Gomes and Greenwood etc are the future.

I'd be shocked if Pogba plays against Chelsea and even more shocked if we sign someone to replace him when he inevitably joins Madrid in the next few weeks.

Nah. That'd be too dangerous. Both in terms of Woodward's general safety and in the fact that they would need a new player to please sponsors. I don't see a huge deal taking place in such a short time.

Savic + Bruno?

Incredible. Absolutely incredible.

Almost as if people want the club to fail.

Talk about glass half full!

The glazers would have a full scale war on their hands if they did this. They might be greedy but they aren’t stupid. They won’t want to increase pressure again like earlier in the month.

No and no. Honestly, unless Madrid are going to stump up 180m euros then you literally have no chance.

I don’t think Madrid can afford to pay straight cash, therefore, think he will do one more year before going next summer.

Can see Pogba going next summer but who knows, perhaps offloading Bale's wages was a big step (assuming the China link is true) along with replacements being readied.

I'd bet on Paul being told next year son rather than all these moves being worked on.

This is based on nothing but hyperbole and hysteria from your end. Ideal situation for the Glazers is for the best players to want to come to United at high transfer fees and win everything in sight because it makes the club more valuable and hence increases both their dividends and the value of their asset should they decide to cash out.

But I'd wager even you don't believe it really but are trying to be overly pessimistic for your own reasons.

This is our only hope. Ed's safe as houses no matter what. They don't care about fan backlash – if this was March, or similar, and the season tickets needed renewing, they'd replace him. It's July, the house is full all season, they don't give a feck. The sponsors lack of a big face / superstar is what would be our only hope.

Don't you mean glass half empty mate, if you're referring to me?

You're overselling me. My glass emptied out at the end of the season.

I'm not naive. I want world peace, but I'm realistic enough to know it'll never happen. I'm also realistic enough to know that the board want a full stadium and that's it. That's already happened.

Bloody hell. These people are real, it seems.
