I'm calling it now.
The players will start getting ruled out by the papers via Woodward briefing over the next week, until we're literally down to Maguire. And if Lukaku stays, Maguire doesnt come. So chances are we go into the new season with James and AWB. Pogba will be sold but way too late for us to replace him and it will all be done deliberately so the Glazers can pocket the money.
That will just never happen.

We are not getting the funds that's why would be my guess.
If that's true, feck Woodward and the Glazers, for real. Doing Ole dirty like that, it's ridiculous. Savic cannot be a replacement for Pogba, different styles and we seriously lack creativity without even taking the Frenchman out of the team.

Replacing Pogba with Milinkovic-Savic would be fecking terrible.

We havent replaced Fellaini and Herrera, Pogba wont be replaced with only one player as well.

We are fecked, our midfield is a shambles, while we still need an attacker if Lukaku leaves and a CB

Sometimes these kind of transfer tweets sounds a bit stupid.

Two top executives is having a meeting over....a deal that will happen if another deal happened..

Seems like they have so much time to waste.

So we are replacing our best player by a mile plus Herrera and the big tree with SMS and we will also give McT and Pereriea more game time whilst Fred will be like a new signing this season (apparently).

Sounds like top planning that.

When did we start treating Sky Sports News as gospel? Ever since they tweeted something negative about us? :wenger::lol:

Kezman: I came all the way from Naples, let's get shyte done.
Woodward: Yes.
Kezman: So you want Sergej?
Woodward: Yes.
Kezman: You want him now?
Woodward: Not if Pogba is still at the club.
Kezman: Alright, give me a call after Pogba went to Madrid. Thanks.
Woodward: Safe flight to Italy, mate.

Who's the fecking "priority" then? Longstaff? Shambles.
Seriously man, feck the board and the owners even more than before if all this happens. If we sell Pogba at the end of our transfer window, it shows we basically bent over to Madrid like a bitch.

What was he doing in Naples?

I don't think anyone takes SSN as gospel but given the MEN and the Mirror had the same story last night it looks like there has been a briefing. it also makes more sense given that the press over here haven't reported this deal anywhere near as strongly as the Portuguese press and nothing concrete seems to have happened with only two weeks left.

Disagree hugely, their investment whatever it was got them 3 champions leagues in a row. Now they have an ageing core of serial winners while also having 2 top keepers, one of the best centre halves in the world in varane, 2 good full backs, some emerging Spanish talent, and have bought one of the best strikers in Europe from last season and Eden hazard having huge hopes from vincius Jr. I think that is a perfectly appropriate comparison this summer, to a club that can't finish top 4 and still has darmian Rojo Jones sanchez lukaku and more on our books. Every single fan here would swap our summer window for theirs in a split second.
That investment which brought that success was from 5/6 years ago.
Everybody knew they were aging but they couldn't see part the success and towards long-term. Now they're scrambling after having just as bad of a season as we had. It cannot be underestimated how bad they were and i don't think Hazard and a striker from a mid table German side will address this.
Its too much money to fix in one window and that's due to their underinvestment over the last 5 Years. Superman Ronaldo papered over a lot of cracks.

Mata and Lingard...wow we are so blessed.
If not Fernandes we should be signing someone who can create, score and be tenacious in midfield and also someone who can defend the back four. It is the most important part of most successful teams but this club is not interested in winning trophies again it seems. Our right wing is a fecking joke also. When we fail to break down most teams again next season and our youth are not getting a sniff because our experienced dead wood will get the nod, I will be stinking the match thread out with my moaning. So everyone get ready to ignore my posts
I just thought we need a bit more quality variation in our play and someone like Fernandes would have delivered that

we remain a counter attacking team in essence and we will struggle to get past teams that defend deep

United would never have said that to an agent. And if we had, we'd have stipulated not to reveal it to the fecking press. This is textbook bullshit hyping.

So as expected the SMS link is bollocks then. Those tweets pretty much seal it for me.

Let's have a meeting over "possibility of unlocking the SMS transfer".

Funny he tweeted that monstrosity like it's a formal thing.

Either that or one person reported it and the other 2 shit sources, desperate not to miss out on an 'exclusive' ran with it, because it's united and it's negative, it generates clicks.

I'm not saying that we will or won't sign Bruno - I've got no idea, but this would be much more widespread if it was a briefing. I just think it's funny how anything negative is treated as 100% accurate where anything positive gets the opposite response, even if it's from the same source.

There isn't

Same with in the super market but we don't all go for the no name brands or wear the budget clothes etc. The club either wants to win things and become relevant again in terms of on the pitch or it is happy to stay in the background of success whilst the owners continue to profit.

Players cost, just because we cant sell ours due to ridiculously high wages it shouldnt stop us buying what we need. The market is what it is and we are one of the richest football clubs on the planet. Just buy the right players, not so called Galaticos, howver they will all cost a lot. The best teams are the best because they have the best players, out players are not that level so do we just continue as is? If the club had the balls to admit it's contentment at that fact then most fans would be more understanding as our high hopes wouldn't exist anymore.

At this point it seems like the only ones keeping this one alive is the media. I know Ole has said we're working on a few things but come on it does not take this long if you're serious about buying someone

Im sure they said earlier we would buy him or are i mistaken?

They did. I think its that time of the window to tune out again as they are getting even more desperate for clicks, literally the polar opposite of stories now being posted every other day and sometimes by the name news outlets
Bruno bid incoming - United not interested in Bruno
Henderson not going back to SU - Henderson to return on loan to SU
United about to sign Pepe - United never interested in Pepe

Its all ramping up quite nicely for the end of transfer window BS sprint
