We wrote Bastian off in our annual reports and he wasnt even training with the team.. sat out for 6 months.. Madrid do it more, but we aren't a lot better...

that said, it was under Jose.. Jose is a cnut. we all know what.. we should never have hired him.

About Bale.. Madrid are desperate to force him out.. I have no idea who would take him..

Bayern.. probably.. Robben was a crock .. and needs replacing.

the first i heard about that was lukaku and his agent wanting to move on. After ole said that every got a chance in the preseason to prove themselves, not one article stated that Ole wanted Lukaku gone, simply lukaku wanted to go.

If he ever plays. He's clearly lost the passion for football. Its all about making the most money he can before he retires seeing as he is happy to play golf on the weekends and get paid to do nothing during the week apart from a few sprints here and there. I wouldn't such a person near my squad if i was a manager
I reckon he'll be awesome where ever he goes. He just needs a run of 10 games in a team where he is the focus of attack. He's had to play in a Madrid team where a few of them are past their sell by date this season or just not good enough, with no Cristiano to carry them anymore.

Think its pretty obvious he wanted him gone to be honest

I'm quite happy Bale is sticking it to them by staying put.

i'd agree if ole hadn't said that everyone got a chance. Hence why we hear no rumours for the likes of darmian or rojo anymore. Maybe Ole is just being diplomatic, but from the time he said that about the preseason, radio silence of rumoured outs.

There are rumours about Darmian (agent meeting with Inter) actually and Rojo too.

Lukaku hasnt played he is “injured” Pogba asked to leave but is playing

No, he's just doing what's necessary. Wish we would do that with certain players.

You mean treat players who have been brilliant for the club with complete disrespect, in public? Yeah, if that’s doing what needs to be done, then I’d rather we didn’t. Bale has been sensational for them, and while it’s now time for him to move on, this is completely the wrong way to go about it. Scumbag move.

We don't have a Gareth Bale currently. We've also not won, what Madrid have won recently. So applying this ruthlessness to Darmian, Young and Rojo would be a bit different for us. I also don't see that much wrong with what Zidane actually said. One of the best things Mourinho did for us was getting rid relatively quickly of Schweinsteiger and Rooney.

Zidane "Gareth Bale wasn't in the matchday squad today because the club is negotiating his departure...I hope it's soon, that would be the best for everyone".

Zidane "It's nothing personal against Gareth. It's just I have to take decisions. These things happen."

Moving players on can be done without being a complete prick about it. Why are the two concepts mutually exclusive? Fergie was properly ruthless, but didn’t drag players through the mud like this. It’s just not necessary. Have some class.

"Zidane is a disgrace to speak like that about someone who has done so much for Real.
"If and when Gareth goes it will be because it is in the best interest of Gareth and nothing to do with Zidane pushing."

If Bale wanted to be treated with respect and reverence as he declined then he should have signed for us years ago. That's what we do. Instead he chose Madrid who everyone knows are utterly ruthless when it comes to players who don't perform.

Anyway I hope he stays there just because it's bad for Madrid and the drama is fun.

They are trying to flog him off for years now and he refuses to feck off how does he expect them to treat him?

Yeah, Beckham and Keane were loving it.

He'll be playing in the CL if he went back to Spurs. Lost ambition is unlikely.

Bit of a cnut Zidane, isn’t he?

Zidane told him from day one he wasn't in his plans. Bale has decided that taking his massive wages every week is better than playing football and now Zidane has made it publicly clear he doesn't want him. It's exactly the same situation as we had with Schweinsteiger and many United fans were on the player's side in that instant as well.

Not the same at all, in my opinion. Schweinsteiger hardly played for us, got injured, and there was a flurry of reports that the the squad felt he received special treatment from LvG that wasn’t deserved and clearly some of the squad had issues with him. Mou then immediately put him in reserves when he took over. Clearly in my mind that was carryover from the previous season under LvG.

I mean after those comments he is probably gonna go for a very reduced fee. I’d take him ideally on a loan but I wouldn’t be opposed to a sub £50m offer either.

He might have injuries etc but he’s still a world class player.

Signing a winger instead of a forward would indicate that Ole wants to use Martial, Rasford and Greenwood down the middle, which I like.

Our best right winger during pre season has been Greenwood. Whilst its encouraging to see, we cant be going into the season relying on a 17 year old. We really need a right winger!

Martial/Rashford
Rashford/James Lingard/Mata Pepe/Greenwood
Preferably, I'd also want us to sign a 10 too, but not sure it will be happening.

100% this. As I said earlier, Zidane

There is nothing wrong in wanting rid of Bale. But the way that they are going about it is utterly disgraceful.

To be honest, I haven't seen much of what they have done wrong apart from saying he isn't needed. But I haven't followed everything. Lots of what has been said on this from what I have seen was his agent speaking

Crikey , if Spurs get Bale and he starts actually trying they'll have a far, far better attack than us
