@utdreport: Newcastle are on the verge of parting with Sean Longstaff to Manchester United #mulive [guardian]

Let's hope so.

I'm not a lukaku hater by any means but he's not the type of player we need.

I hope we can get the deal done and bring in his replacement ASAP. A fresh start for both player and club.

Well of course it will be mental, considering that we will have 0 strikers in the team without him (Rashford's not a 9). He should still be sold though.

No I think they tied them in to some bullshit signing tweets that the families of said missing people are unlikely to appreciate. Maybe it's just me, but as 'funny' as Roma's twatter feed can be, there's a time and a place. This isn't it.

Crack on with the rolleyes though.

They aren't trying to be funny. And they will surely have permission of the families. Their tweets will reach a wider audience than a missing person tweet would and so increase the chances of finding said missing child.

That time and place though no one will pay much attention to, and I very much doubt Roma would be that heartless, any institution for that matter, to just whimsically pick a random missing person and tie it to a signing.

This way it brings a lot of attention to the tweet and said missing person. Thought the very fact you referred Twitter as "Twatter" proves your feelings on the platform, so that may be an excuse as to why you feel this way about Roma's way of raising attention.

Maybe. But normally their tweets are funny, deliberately so. I just think it's a little misplaced that's all.

If they care about finding the missing people, why not do a proper tweet with a proper message?

I'm probably being oversensitive.

It is full of twats dude. I'm on there! See my post above this.

Guardian are petty reliable. Him + Maguire will conclude our transfer business i’m guessing
Woah. Where does it say this on the Guardian?
It is mentioned in one sentence towards the end of an article about Newcastle's next manager. Would take the claims with a pinch of salt.

I agree with this, if Lukaku goes, I either think that Ole will stick with Rashford and Greenwood, though my heart says that we'll be on the look out for another striker to fill Lukaku's boots.

Longstaff, Maguire, Fernandes + Potential Striker.

In a dreamworld I'll add in another CB then it'll be a fantastic window imo

Maguire
Longstaff
Fernandes
AWB
James

+ A CB and Striker.

Doubt we’re after a striker if Lukaku is moving on. Sanchez, Martial, Rashford, and Greenwood will be the forward players with James, Lingard, Dalot and Mata as wide players. Depressing isn’t it.

The lack of positive transfer tweets is quite worrying. If we have the cash to spend how hard is it to actually make a deal happen

Ok, feck it, i am putting him on ignore.

For all the negatives that can be said about Lukaku, we are massive idiots if we sell him and don't bring in another striker.

Considering how hard we're finding it to sign players I'm not optimistic we'll get a replacement

Just because they joke about sometimes doesn't mean they can't be serious too.

The reason they don't just do a missing person post is because the sad reality of it is nobody would care... Tie that to a tweet about transfers and interest or at least visibility goes up a shit load.
