Bring on the Shaw jokes

What the hell is going on? ESPN is saying the same thing, according to sources.

It's goddamn shameful everything that's constantly coming out about this club over the last several years. Whether true or not, we're being used punchline. Between this and the leaks, what the feck? We need to weed it out.

Or is it all based on truth? Is the source someone close to the club that's unhinged by the level of incompetence above? Carrick?

I'm calling absolute bollocks on that De Ligt story. As if we wouldn't sign a player based on how fat his dad is? fecking new low for transfer stories everywhere.

It's clearly bollocks cause De Ligt's dad isn't even very fat.

"United boss Jose Mourinho, sacked in December, wanted a centre-back last summer and identified De Ligt as his first-choice target, with Leicester ’s Harry Maguire a fall-back option."

"But United vetoed the move for De Ligt on the basis of Bout’s belief the defender – now recognised as the best in Europe - would pile on the pounds in the coming years and lose his pace and power."
Jose Mourinho identifying an 18 year old as a first choice center back target. That's the real joke in the article

Office in Madrid is clueless. Pogba is streets ahead of their joke midfield. He should stay if it's case.

Complete load of shit when their "sources" said last summer that he wanted experienced center backs that were close to their 30's

People should really stop believing whatever the papers print. They do it for one purpose, clicks

I read an article saying Lite in the name doesnt mean anything and people consuming Lite drinks were more prone to gaining weight..

It all adds up..

Did anyone read this article.

It says that we rejected De Ligt cos his father was fat so we feared that he'd be fat too.
Wtf?

I was expecting him to be clinically obese....

Why do you guys think United briefed the media over this? Seems obvious it's meant to paint United in a bad way.

Is there anything worse than a forced bullshit goodbye message? No one care Herrera, just pack your stuff and leave quietly through the back door please.

Agreed - would get it if he was retiring or if the club felt he wasn’t good enough. But he’s literally leaving for PSG and a pay check so this just feels wrong.

This makes sense. Heard Benfica were panicking about his €100m release clause being too low and wanted to double it so they didn't find themselves in a Neymar position where your best player is whipped away from you and you don't have a say in it.

Word going around it's closer to 200 million or more. Good for them, btw!

The worst part is the people who will lap it up with "fair play Ander" and "lovely message" as if he wrote the script himself.

Same as when a player leaves and posts a social media wall of text stating how the club will "always be in my heart". People actually buy it. It wasn't written by them ffs.

It's just bollocks.

And the people lapping up the narrative we've let poor Ander go when he really wanted to stay are morons.

Well we did, if he had two offers of the same value on the table he'd stay with us.

Sure he left because he's earning more at PSG but he's on his final large contract and has an interest to earn more whilst potentially win a cup or two in the process. He's only human.

He would have stayed with us if we paid him the same, but we didn't value him as much as another club did. Hes only human, we all work similarly with our employers at Banks or insurance Companies or whatever we do in our every day lives. It's moronic to claim otherwise, apt word.

I'm not slating the bloke for leaving. Sometimes no matter how much you've enjoyed working somewhere, it's just time to leave, I get that.

What annoys me is this narrative that's coming from his camp that he's been hard done by and we've forced him out by not offering him a contract when he wanted one.

We've had club legends leave and no one's said a word, I don't understand why Herrera is getting all this fan fare for being an average midfielder in a time we've had shit midfielders.
