£35m for Tielemans and we'll probably end up paying something very close to that for Lemina

A : I like your car, how much would you want for it?
B : £25,000
A : I think it's only worth about £15,000 so i'll give you £15,000 and my watch that's worth £10,000

How do people get away with making up such bullshit. It's like there are so many bullshitters all spouting so much bullshit these days that it's impossible to keep track of it all so there is zero accountability. Thank god for this thread, I use it as my only source of rumours. Hopefully a lot of others do the same to limit the amount of clicks and traction these bs merchants gather.

£40m or £35m, Leicester have been one of the shrewdest operators in the market over the past few years, I mean they even managed to turn a relatively expensive flop like Adrien Silva into gold with this Tielemans deal and are also on the cusp of pulling our pants down big style with this seemingly inevitable Harry Maguire transfer. I can see Ayoze Perez being an excellent acquisition for them this year too.

Because there's a massive market for it right now and it's only growing. Just look at the IDK rubbish that played out over on reddit recently where thousands of users, including moderators were quite clearly duped by some of the worst bullshit I've ever seen and they're still hanging around there openly pining for more.

I think is will be and is a good deal. Just strikes me as odd that not one top club was interested at that price.

After such a successful loan spell, I imagine Tielemans and his team were more than happy to just get a deal done with Leicester with a view to moving on for an even bigger fee with a bigger payday from a bigger club in a few seasons time. Makes perfect sense for everyone involved just to get the deal done and move forward with their pre-season preparations.

Do you not question why Monaco didn't want to keep him though?

Interesting that Monaco were seeming pretty keen to offload him.
Like most clubs in Europe, they're still a selling club. The negotiations for most of their players in recent years (Silva, Fabinho, Mendy, etc) were not long and drawn out, and the fees were not insane by recent premier league standards.

At this point, I dont think it's worth it to deal with premier league teams unless you think you're signing a world class player like VVD or someone who can start for 8+ years like AWB. For anything else, I think clubs need good scouts who can find deals in Europe.

He wasn't doing very well there and presumably didn't want to go back. They got 35 million pounds for someone they didn't want. That type of money will go a long way in ligue 1.

He was considered a massive flop halfway through last season which is why they loaned him out in the first place so I assume they saw this as an opportunity to simply cut their losses while making a small profit in the process. Sometimes transfers just don't work out for whatever reason.

If we wanted Messi some people on here would call him bang average

Maybe but I am saying Lindelof is average because I think he is average. More a case of from loyalty or longing, a lot of our players are hugely over rated when the team is so poor they are lauded for performances that have barely gone above average. I think Martial is a talented player but his performances have been poor generally. Lindelof was nothing more than a very average defender playing average at Benfica, never wanted him when we needed a ral quality centre back and he has never been barely average for us.

Agree. Blind is and always was a much better CB.

Thing is.....I never rated Blind at all either as a centre back. Preferred him as an anchor man. Bailly despite all the rashness was the only centre back we have signed for a long time I thought could be a top defender for us, but doesnt look like he will become one here either. Partly due to injuries, but if you are a centre back that cant nail a starting berth amongst all the average ones we have, that is poor.

Not one centre back I would really like to keep, was hoping though I knew it wouldnt happen that we would sign two quality ones, add a youngster like Godfrey to Tuanzabe and bar Smalling who I think as a squad player is a decent defender despite his huge deficincies with the ball, sell all the rest. Criminal really for me that Jones and Rojo are still here at the moment, both have been here a few years now and not put in a quality season between them.

I do think he is a good player and still very young. However dont think he is developing into the brilliant player he looked when he broke through. Saw somebody on the level of Seedorf. I wouldnt have minded us signing him, but I think personally there are much better options out there.....only thing is we dont seem to be in for any of them, or are failing as some already gone to other clubs

Had to google her.."Jeinny Rodriguez is a Venezuelan actress, television hostess, and model who frequently appears in U.S. Spanish-language TV novelas and other programs on the Telemundo, Fox Deportes and Univision networks."

Doesn't sound the reliable type..
And she spouts a lot of BS, I think she was full force into Pogba to Real a couple of years back, etc etc...

If I was running PSG, I would trigger Griezmann’s release clause and pair him with Mbappé, like for France. Then swap Neymar with Barca for Umtiti and Dembélé. They’d have a core of the best french players, and be far better off for it.
Great plan but Griezmann has agreed terms with Barca + is not really interested in going to PSG, Dembele is not for sale and Umtiti has injury problems. Their best bet would be to offer us 200 million for the the best french CM - PP6. That way, we get to say feck you to Real and we get very well compensated too (provided pogba wants to leave which looks like he does)

It's possible he could flatter to deceive and not make the grade. But James at close to 20 mil is a gamble as well and we seem to have taken that one. Arguably Olmo has better ability, and had a great u21 championship. I'd say James is the bigger gamble
While I get what your saying, James has full international caps under his belt already. I think he's a bit further on in his progression from what I've seen.

Thanks for that information :). Was going to ask is she is reliable as I hadn't heard of her. Hope this rumour is a load of bollocks. Do not want.

Costa has been a bit of rubbish and injury plagued since he's returned to Atleti. It'll probably a stupid move for Wolves if they bench Jiminez for him.

They are not benching their record signing for Costa

Neymar to United? Are you serious?

I hope for the sake of your club, it is NOT serious. Thats 100% terrible choice. Players who think they are bigger than the club always ends well...

I may have misinterpreted it. Silly me if I did :wenger:. But I thought the tweet was about Umtiti leaving Barcelona. To answer your question. I don't think we would have a chance of signing Neymar and wouldn't want him either.

Well that makes sense. I wasn't sure if you meant Neymar or Umtiti to be honest.

PSG apparently want Umititi, as part of the Neymar deal, but it seems Barca want to hold on to him.

Great news if this happens

Not really. I am all pogged out on Dea.

To pay a goalie 350k/week will have long term ramification -- never mind the fact that this is his 2nd or 3rd attempt or flirtation with other clubs. Rooney lost me with his last flirtation with Chelsea.

We are trying to dig ourselves out of the Sanchez hole and by paying him 350k, we will have just create a brand new crater to dig out of.

Sell DDG and let Henderson have a go.

I understand we got ourselves in the sh!te paying Sanchez all that money, I thought it was going to come to come to bite us on the ar$e at the time and still p!sses me off now. Agree we should be trying to get our wage structure down but if De Gea regain the form he showed prior to last season I think he will be worth that massive contract.
