If Gareth bale stays at Madrid this summer after being told he isn't wanted... hes basically retiring in the Spanish sun. Shows spain/money means more than football.

Wasted talent however injury prone he is. Needs to take a huge financial drop in wages an play footy like all young boys grow up wanting to do.

You wha? He's won how many Champions Leagues? He's 30 odd now and on mega money living in the sun. Think about that. Why would he move to Manchester or Liverpool to play in a harder league for less money and in crap weather? Would you move jobs to earn less and live in a poorer climate?

I think Mata will be mentoring Angel Gomes which I think could be great for his development.

Rabiot/Pogba are not alternatives for Juventus. - Luca Marchetti SKY

So Juventus want both of them. Maybe Pjanic future is not in Juventus if both of them sign for Juventus (Ramsey is also there).

Both Ángel Haro and José Miguel Catalán "the clubs president and vice chairman" said that the player has offers from the premier league. The local paper El Desmarque say united is preparing an offer just below the player's clause around 90m euros that "more than Tottenham's offer" but everything is connected to the Pogba move to madrid. 20% of the sale will go to PSG.

Why does it seem that United always face hurdles to sign players, clubs expecting more money from us, news of us offering ridiculous salaries to players who dont even perform etc. It never seems to be smooth for us.

Meanwhile teams like City just quietly go about their business in the background.

It's because United get sh!t ton more clicks etc...for all our drama. At least that and United being run by non football people.

I'm okay with this. Mata really impressed me in the False 9 role after Ole took over. We're in desperate need of someone capable of combination play in the final third. Lingard's form is too patchy and Lukaku... is Lukaku.

In the what?
Did he play that role even once?!

It’s funny and annoying at the same time seeing people going mental for no good reason.

Really happy to see Mata signing a new contract.

He's a lovely chap, with great control of a football. But I really don't know how you can be "happy" as such.

When he starts on the right, it's fairly nominal, as he's zero threat out there, meaning the right back has an insane amount of work to do. When that right back is Young, who is still "decent" defensively, but offers nothing going forward, it means we literally have nothing on the right.

Signing him back on does hint that we won't bother to make a proper signing out there. Which worries me.
