This will end up being 40m+ 10m in more realistic add ons.. and it'll be reported as a 70m transfer.

I hope they don't count Lingard as a youngster anymore.

In any case, this just screams sour grapes. "We don't want him to stay anyway, he spoils the yoof". Looks like we will cave in and sell him, just hope its' north of 100 million pounds.
I think we must hold out for 150m.

And the media will add his dog and cat fees. Then whole world will go mad at our club for spending this much on an average fb. It has become a trend in recent times. God I miss Sir alex era, although it was boring transfer windows atleast these journalists didn't create shit stories like this.

Wow that's crazy. Granted I did not watch a lot of chelsea last season but whenever I did, he never looked that good. He was pretty good some seasons ago but never understood why would a barca be interested in signing him.

You’re correct, he’s fecking awful. Chelsea fans generally don’t even rate him it’s more some nutters on here that have an obsession with him.

Hazard is on another level to pogba.

Pogba is staying not worth what is being asked transfer sum wise
Coutinho went north of 100 mil and no one in their right mind would say that he is as good as Pogba, so we will be just fine. Madrid can either pay up or feck off.

Jeez what do everyone see in willian. Chelsea are not willing to let him go and barca chasing him like crazy and now we have athletico also joining this race.

Chelsea probably aren't willing to let him go cause they can't replace him due to the transfer ban.

Pogba commands a fee in that bracket because of things beyond football.

In 2018 he was listed as the most marketable athlete ahead of supposed French poster boy Mbappe and the in-form Anthony Joshua.

Further weight is added when an Adidas-sponsored club want to buy him.

And let's not forget he's coming off the back of his best personal season in terms of output, arguably being the only reason United weren't genuine mid-table shit.

And I don't want him to stay under any circumstances by the way, not worth the circus for me. Fits right in at his intended destination.

Does the marketability factor always translate to good return of investment in general for players ? I mean , it goes without saying if he's a world beater but when your career trajectory includes seasons like the last one , shirt sales and sponsorship aren't going to just keep up does it ?

Hell we didn't cave for fecking Darmian. Why would we for our most valuable asset with three years left on his deal?

We bid £40m cash.

Now we offer £35m cash and £15m addons.

I think it is a good offer tbf.
Well depends on the add ons, if it's something like 5 mill for winning the UCL in the next 5 years or 5 mill for winning the PL in the next 3 years, Palace will have serious doubts about that deal

So another day goes by and our news is Mata looks likely to sign a new contract.
Look forward to what tomorrow brings...maybe we will give Matic a new deal.

What does he seriously offer? Last season he featured in 31 games, scoring 5 goals with 2 assists. I think we always need to be grounded with young players etc. but do you seriously think Mason Greenwood or Angel Gomes would so much worse having all that game time?

Not to mention the other issues; he’s on the wrong side of 30, one of the higher paid players etc.

And slower than a constipated sloth.

I reckon it would be assists, team of the season, France caps etc..

Not how you run a business.
It's a football business, another club will come in and pay it then we are left with no player and either pay over the odds for another player or become an every worse team with the shite we have

I can see him coming out with the ''I can achieve my career ambitions here at WH. I would like to retire at Tottingham'' by 1st week of July.

He should come here.

Honestly think we should ship him out asap to any club other than Real Madrid for a large fee but, more importantly, with the mother of all sell-on clauses attached.

The sooner we accept that we're too far behind City & LPool (through our own mistakes) to catch them next season the better. It's now about planning for ~3 years down the line, how we can get back to challenging, which players are/will be good enough and how are we going to evolve tactically. Planning that around players like Pogba (who wants out), Lukaku (same), Sanchez (shit) and sadly DDG (running down his deal) etc is pointless and we might as well shift their huge salaries as soon as we can.

Five signings right?
Sell Pogba, Lukaku, Matic

Buy
Neymar (move Martial to CF and Rashford to the RW)
Erickson
Ndombele
Wan Bissaka
(CB)

Tell me it’s not a team that can be built on and can challenge. These players are all available and they are moves that show people were back in business. Now maybe Neymar wouldn’t want to come here cause of our position, but with Hazard just bought don’t see Madrid possible at all and Barcelona seems off the cards.

Could Liverpool make the move for him?

Ed Woodward is an embarrassment, I hope another team comes in for bissaka and pay the full 50m to teach the cnut a lesson. Plus I hope Madrid offer 50m for pogba and offer 70m in add ons for a taste of his own medicine

Does nobody here have a problem with us spending £40m or more on a right back?

Considering:
- we just bought a right back last year
- we have young prospects coming through
- we have so many areas to fix on a limited budget
- there are cheaper alternatives at right back surely

Typical Woodward deals. Fair enough he likes his add ins but when your desperate like us you just need to pay the money.

AWB will be done for 45 + 10 in add-ons. Deal's already done I'm sure. Palace just want to look like they're putting up a good fight. We need to move on to our right wing, seriously. If Lukaku and Pogba are sold, and we STILL, after a decade, don't have a right winger, we won't even make the top 5 this season.

He's got a stronger Instagram following than Manchester United do.

The guy will sell shirts and merch no problem wherever he goes. And again I must reiterate, I'm not on team Pogba.

I think in today's time 40-50m for an upcoming full back is worth it. Whenever I have seen AWB, he seems so good who would instantaneously improve our RB situation.

When Ashley Young is the first team RB I would say a new RB along with RW should be our priority.

Woodwards the type of cnut to get a calculator out at a group meal and start being a bellend because he didn't have doughballs.

- Dalot is not ready. You can decide whether he was a good or bad buy, but that doesn't mean we can make do with him.
- None of them have a guarantee of success or are ready.
- RB is one of those pressing areas.
- Sure, but Ole is fixated with English players.

"United's stance is that Pogba will stay and play for them next season even if their record £89million signing agitates for a move.
In reality, that stance could change if Pogba demands to go and Madrid table a bid in excess of £150m."
