Either we are going all in for Sancho or we really believe in Greenwood/Chong because its a market for RWs these summer and we arent linked to any of them.

I would assume that James was the Sancho backup - we're not being linked to wide players anymore.

Looks like the plan now is Maguire, Longstaff and AWB.

I think we'll then wait to see what happens with Pogba/Lukaku and perhaps go for a midfielder/striker as necessary (Fernandes/Haller, perhaps).

So you believe James will be played right as Sancho would have.

I think we'll see him on both wings, but I also expect we'll be seeing the diamond system a lot next season as Ole seems quite keen on playing with two forwards.

Nothing wrong at all with what Celtic have done. About time agents were called out for the bollocks.

Maybe more clubs should out agents who offer practically nothing for the money and do not have their clients best footballing interests at heart

That is a bit of an odd take. This guy’s agent will have seen that offer as winning the lottery with that kind of client.

He’s clearly got a better offer elsewhere. This is an ill-advised case of ‘Celtic or money’.

Oh yeah, money and a better club is actually the outcome you twats.

I’m really interested to see how we set up. I also think Martial should get a chance centrally like Rashford did, honestly think he would do a better job as more clinical despite the negative aspects of his game.

For that quoted price I don't know why we're not all over this. He was amazing last year. His passing and creativity was a major spark for Ajax. 26 and better than Lingard/Mata. No links to him, can't understand that.

If we were to show interest then no doubt that quoted price would treble.

That's true enough! we're not really in a great negotiating predicament right now with all of the bad moves we've made with rebuilding, different managers with different styles, clubs know we're desperate and have money.

But going on that meme he's worth that risk any day of the week,

Precisely.

Take nothing away, from what I saw of him when he played for Ajax, he looks a very good player and certainly much better than what we already have.

Personally, I think Ole really wants Jadon Sancho and is prepared to wait till next season to buy him. He’s the only RW that we’ve only been linked with when you consider how many other right wingers out there that are actually available to buy this summer. We’ve hardly been linked with any of them. Of course, I’d take Jadon in a heartbeat but we ain’t going to get him this summer and I couldn’t handle another year of Lingard/Mata on the RW.

Jesus! Hope you're wrong! That is a very underwhelming transfer window! Long season ahead indeed.

Ole must be very confident we will finish top 4 next season if he is waiting for Sancho, we fail again then we look and even worse prospect to join than we do now. Very risky especially if Pogba doesnt get his chance to leave this summer he will surely go the next one along with De Gea.

You can just imagine opposition coaches smiling when seeing either of them in the line up. At least if we sign AWB it won’t be a complete farce on the right.

200%.
We're a mess. Our right hand side will still be non existent with about 45 LW options incapable of consistently performing so constant tinkering for yet another season.

It will be absolutely farcical if we don’t sign a right winger. Absolutely bloody farcical.

I know

To be fair, Maguire, AWB, Longstaff and Daniel James would set us back the best part of £175m.

I wouldn't really expect any other incomings without a big money sale (De Gea/Pogba/Lukaku).

Knowing Woodward, he would sell those players after our transfer window has closed!

"United say no but Pogba only wants to play in Madrid"

They write that you have a big economic hole but the Glazers have said to Raiola that they won't sell under any concept.
They also say that Pogba is decided to leave, and playing the Europa league convinced him completely.
Pogba rules out any measure of strength.
They also name PSG as a team that could be interested

they do know that united is the richest team in the world, right?

Can’t believe United are not in for him. Unless we are confident of signing Sancho or player that is of better value. He would also be a great Eriksen replacement if he leaves Pochettino team

If a big money move for Sancho was happening there probably would have been a lot of smoke right now. Even fecking Indy Kalia isnt linking him with us.

Yeah, agreed - Sancho was the number 1 target for RW this year, for sure. The thing is with waiting on buying a RW our attack this coming season is going to be lopsided again and what if we fail to get top 4 due to that and Sancho has another year like last year, we'd be in the same predicament again. Sancho should have came this year and helped us get back into the CL he's 19 a year out of it wouldn't have harmed the lad, to be honest.

What? The implication is we would be going for him next summer, so of course there wouldn't be anything happening this summer

Remember when MARCA photoshoped the crowd to make it looked like there were more Madrid fans than United's?

Not a lot in the media managed to look more cringy than Daily Mail. But I would read Daily Mail anytime of the day than MARCA. Might as well change the name to Real Madrid Exclusive News and employ Indykaila + Ballbag.
