The only ones worth keeping who are rumoured to go are Pogba and De Gea. Matic, Lukaku, Fred etc. are all more than welcome to leave in my opinion.

Problem is they're the best of the very large bad bunch that need to be shipped out. There are more pressing exits that need to happen first. They know who they are.

Yeah we'll sell Pogba but keep good ol 'Youngy' and 'Jonah' around for years to come

Ole's at the wheel or something...

I read that Rabiot changed his mind about leaving PSG once he knew that Leonardo was rejoining them & their previous sporting director was leaving.

Shame. He would have been great for us.

This is just The Mirror being late to the party. These rumours surfaced days ago and were then followed by a response from his entourage that they were bollocks

Potentially selling De Gea, Pogba and (to a lesser extent) Lukaku all in the same window, we're honestly asking to finish 10th

Without our best transfers in window for a decade we would be guaranteeing 6th as a best possible finish

It's crazy. Everyone was giddy that Ole might get rid of all the deadwood. Now it looks like it's our best players that piss off.

The sad reality is since Fergie retired the club has become a virus.

And all us fans are the ones infected :(

Yes exactly, anyone thinking selling Pogba and Lukaku is going to make us better is delusional. Replacing Young, Smalling, Jones, an actual RW will actually solve the weaknesses. But I’m sure most fans will keep wanting our best players to leave.

There's about five or six that need shipping out before any of them though.

I'm glad he hasn't said he wants to leave publicly but let's not pretend we can take anything from these interviews. After all about a mont ago Wan-Bissaka said
"The situation just shows that my performances don't go unnoticed but I am with Crystal Palace at the moment. That is where my contract is and that is where I will be next season."

"I have got three years left on my contract. It says I am going to be there, so that is all I can focus on now."

If I was OGS I would try a Fergie approach like he did with Ronaldo.....stay one year and you can leave next summer if you want. That would be a win-win for all parts. United get a motivated Pogba, Pogba gets a reason to be motivated and OGS first gets a motivated Pogba for one year and buys himself time to replace him.

I think that would work if we were close to winning anything decent...

Ronaldo was the best player in the world, he was winning us leagues. This is a different situation and a chaotic time in the club, we aren't stable like we were then. United are yo yoing from 6th to 2nd to 6th. People need to stop being scared of letting him go. He's been wanting out for a year now, the club can't get transfers over the line that's the fear. Our lack of transfer activity or rebuild is the issue, people would forget about Pogba if we got 150m and bought two excellent players to replace him. The problem is United drag out every transfer, it's not a question of negotiating now. There is no faith in the board to deliver adequate replacements for Paul.

I feel like that altercation with the fan at the end of the season may have pushed him over the edge...

Mate, players do not care about what fans think. He’s a professional. He wants to win trophies. He’s not going to do that here for the foreseeable future and Madrid are calling.

They’ve signed some cracking players, he respects the manager, who has a track record of winning the biggest club competition repeatedly!

Compare that with his current situation. Also Madrid or Manchester? I know where I’d rather by.

I mean if that pushed him over the edge

He's going to get a huge reality check if he ends up at Real Madrid and serves up some of the performances he's had here.

If Real pay him the €51m he's owed I can see Bale retiring from football and going into golf.
Golf is a hobby - he will still make money playing football

I can't see it he could play until his mid 30's at least and then take up Golf if he want to.

From all accounts Bale is a pretty handy golfer, and they dont get paid a pittance, he doesn't seem to have any interest in football (obviously if someone is willing to pay him 400k+ a week in football he'd take it, but I dont think he'd be interested on a contract a quarter of his current one.

Yeah I think he plays off 5, maybe less now.

I think he plays off 5, there is literally no way he's going to just become a professional golfer

It's a hard summer for clubs looking to shift former superstars on gigantic wages. Madrid are desperate for Bale to go, same with us and Sanchez, Arsenal and Ozil... unlikely that all three clubs will find mugs willing to take them.

I mean, it's not impossible to think that. Even Martial looks close to crying when he loses the ball like an idiot, Pogba doesn't put a shift in when he feels United aren't gonna win. A lot of players at united are mentally weak. But yeah it's gonna be funny when he thinks Real Madrid fans will love him. They booed Ronaldo daily:lol:

We laugh, but aren't we in the same boat with regards to Sanchez?
