Obviously the sad loss of his father delayed it but if 3 weeks is straight forward for us and we only have 3.5 weeks left until pre season, I'm not very confident Ole gets his players signed for pre season like he said he wanted.
Provided they have been working on the deals in the background prior to the season ending, 3.5 weeks is definitely more than enough time to tie them up.

That's a pretty big assumption with Ed.
I think we will get one more in before we go on tour. No idea who that will be though.
It would be nice to see some of the deadwood shifted by then as well.

I am seriously hoping that after the season we had (especially compared to the unbridled joy experienced by our two closest rivals) will spark the club into life and that we will be determined to get players in and out as soon as possible. I would like to see an additional two first teamers signed by July and will forgive a central defender taking until July if it is due to use having a realistic chance of landing De Ligt or Koulibaly.

Hopefully that is what has been happening. Not saying we get either but I'm sure (praying) after nations cup the De ligt and Fernandes sagas will have an end in sight one way or the other. I just hope we dont spend next 3 weeks trying to sign players and then announce Longstaff before flying off to Australia.

Actually he just linked Odgen article which was posted 2 weeks ago and he said on twitter he has no fresh info on that and article is about Bayern withdrawing their interest (or getting rejected).
It really doesn’t make sense for Bayern to go for him. CB is the position where they are loaded.

Bit of context, the figure is said hyperbolically from the interview, basically saying how they are the ones selling him. Lyon fan on reddit reckons he will go for about £30m. Would be a hell of a buy for someone at that price.

Anyone have a summary of the Times article? Apparently has a summary of our targets.

Hasn't he had a rather ordinary season? He kind of feels like a guy who won't do well outside of France.

What happened with the Liverpool deal again?

Yeah, supposedly, but you can kind of understand after having a deal spectacularly fall through in the fashion it did.

Supposedly fee was agreed and ready to go, then Liverpool tried to negotiate the fee down at the last minute. Not sure if it was because of his knees or what.

According to Paul Hirst we want a CB, RB, CDM, AM, RW and possibly a FW.

Targets are:

Wan Bissaka (Meunier 2nd choice)
Maguire and Koulibaly
Rice and Dier. Longstaff seen as one for the future.
Fernandes and Sual Niguez for AM
James and Pepe for RW

If Lukaku goes we want Felix or Haller.

It’s crap. AWB, Meunièr if not. Bruno and Saul. longstaff for the future. Koulibaly,
Maguire if not. Throws Pepe in the mix. It’s the biggest mish mash of “linked with” and “discussed”, feels like he’s just doing a run down of all the rumours.

Dier? Like Eric Dier? I think I prefer Rojo in midfield then

Yeah, just found the Dier/Rice one interesting. We've not been linked much with either recently.

And we are going to pass it on ? 30m is peanuts these days.
Jeez - do it Ed.
Eriksen wibes where no one took a chance for 10m.

I’d be up for it. You know if he ever did come here, his knees would explode 2nd game in.
