Feck off Inter.

If he goes then I hope we get as close to 70 mil as possible otherwise he can stay. 30 mil + a declining player, they value him higher than Lukaku.

Have some faith, we have managed to get decent fees from the last couple of sales over the past 2-3 years.

I wouldn't be surprised if we accept £45m for Lukaku.

United linearly depreciate player values on the Balance Sheet.

We paid £76m for Lukaku 2 years ago on a 5 year contract. His remaining value will be about £45m (three fifths of the original outlay).

If Woodward is mostly concerned about the accounting on this sale, the above amount will be enough. If he wants to add a 2019 premium, I think £55m will do it.

Maybe we're playing hardball to try and get Skriniar in return.

Putting it into perspective, 45m is up there with the highest Serie A transfers of all time. Only Ronaldo and Higuain have commanding a bigger fee more in recent years. Crespo and Buffon before that (assuming they are adjusting for inflation). Italian clubs not named Juventus are notoriously stingy. Sauce.

You can't take a 30m loss on a 26 year old with 3 years to go on his deal. A guy who despite everyone thinking is crap on our forum, still scored 27 in his first season, and is one of the top Premier league goalscorers of the last decade.

That'd make us look absolutely incredible mugs.
Especially if we continue making the most pointless stand trying to get buttons for Darmian.

I would take Perisic. Never understood the hate here.
He's not the kind of winger we need.
He's on the decline.
Getting older (as much as we hate to bring this into arguments)
They still value him way too much.

Would be a terrible deal for us...

I dont know, I feel Icardi would be an upgrade on Lukaku, but I am afraid of the circus around him.

We famously did it with Veron.

Our PR made the point that we made 0 loss on the Chelsea sale because we bought for £28m and sold for £14m exactly half way through his contract.

As I said, from an accounting point of view, it would be acceptable.

We'll ignore the rule that you can't negotiate with the player until the clubs have agreed a fee
in some cases where clubs ask the player to find a club, they allow the player to discuss personal terms first. But I agree, I dont think Lukaku has any real offer from Inter yet, only interest.

one ambitious man, if he gets an offer from Arsenal, he should take as soon as possible. Cant believe the sacked one wanted him.

I dont understand the hype. Looks okayish certainly not worth that much

The issue is that there aren’t many other good enough LBs available on the market in comparison to the amount of clubs needing one.

The Spanish big 3 all need one, City need one, and PSG have a LB buying fetish where they’d get a new one even if they had peak Roberto Carlos and Maldini as back-up.

Then you look at who’s available. Tierney, Chillwell, Ferland, Grimaldo, Gaya. Not many others. That’s why it seems like there’s a big race on for him.

Like their flexibility when we were the only club interested for Perisic, when Jose wanted him? Nah! actually we dont.

No one is flexible when you are loaded like we are and have a guy like Woodward who loves to tell the media how big his dick is. Inter don't have the kind of money we do and nobody else is intersted in Lukaku, if we don't bend a little we'll be stuck with a player the manager obviously doesn't value, who doesn't want to be here as he wants to be first choice, and who is on massive wages, it's a recipe for disaster, you can't expect to get your money back on a player that you overpaid for and who has regressed over the last year, that's just illogical.

Makes no sense.

I wouldn't mind Perisic but for no more than 25-30 mil euros.

We paid 80 mil euros for Lukaku a couple of years ago, hopefully we recoup most of that.

a 50 mil euros + Perisic would do it for me. that would amount to something like 75 to 80 mil euros.

He wouldn't do worse than Martial and Sanchez on the left and if Sanchez leaves ( it looks like it), we will have only one option on the left (Lukaku leaving would make Rash more a CF than an LW).

Sure someone else who is allowed can link to this. Official Deal for Salford, getting Richie Towell on a free from Brighton. He's been on loan to Rotherham in League 1/The Championship, so a sort of ambitious signing.

We don't need Perisic now. Take that you bitches ! Pay up 70 or just stay away.

Happily keep Lukaku for one more year.
