Why are Chelsea fans getting triggered? They've never really been about their youth, have one manager who's done it for one season and even he's now proving it wasn't by choice.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. All this bravado about Frank giving their youth a chance is obviously nonsense. He's had no choice but play them this season. Zieych, Werner and now looks like Havertz coming in as well. How long did it last Frank? They are a fantasy football club and always have been since Roman bought them. They will never enjoy their fruits of their great academy as they are simply not patient enough to do what we do with likes of Rashford, Greenwood etc. They just go for ready made superstars at first opportunity.
What exactly have you done with the likes of Rashford, Greenwood, Mctominay if I may ask? Did you not buy Maguire with Tuazebe and TFM on your books? Did you not buy AWB for 50m when Dalot was already on your books? Did you not sign Sanchez when Rashford was already there? He rose up to the challenge why shouldn’t our own youth players? You're hoping to sign Sancho when Greenwood is doing so well at the right wing, why? Depth right? So why can't Chelsea have the same esp with Pedro and Willian leaving?
Cho, and all our other youth players, have been given ample time this season to show they can be valuable players at Chelsea. Most have taken it, Cho hasn't. A club, esp one like Chelsea can only show faith in you, its up to you yo grab that opportunity.

Cho will not be sold or go out on loan next season. He will be part of our squad and still get chances. Whether he pulls a Lingard or does a Rashford will be up to him.

Assuming you do sign Havertz......what do you think your front 6 will be next season when they are all available?

--------------------------------Kante----Kovacic

----------------Ziyech-----------Havertz----------Pullisic

--------------------------------------Werner

It looks fantastic no question but where do Mount, Abraham, CHO etc fit it? They don't do they?
Maybe you should quit your pursuit of Sancho and play Ching as Greenwood's backup eh :D
Also people do know the 5 sub's rule will be sticking around next season right?

Don't mind me mate. I'm just having a conversation on an internet forum.

What do you suggest the club do, then? Not buy anyone? Buy only mediocre players as to not block the youngsters?

Dortmund central midfielder defender Leonardo Balerdi joins Marseille on loan with an option to buy for 14 million Euros.

What a failure that transfer has been. Came in with a lot of hype and some even thought he would be an option this season despite never being given a run in the side. I somehow was still hopeful Dortmund were being patient and maybe he will finally get a look in soon. This pretty much confirms they got it wrong.

Quite a few failed youngster signings for Dortmund recently that have gone under the radar. Mikel Merino, Alexander Isak, Emre Mor and now Balerdi though it will happen when you sign a lot of youngsters as well (Mateo Morey looks like he will be a good player in the future with Dortmund playing him often towards the end). Balerdi was the only one who came for alot of money though, 15 Mil Eur I think, so he's a big failure for them.

We should promote the youth to backup the youth we've already promoted, just like United does.

Maybe not give it loads about how you've "trusted" the youth, when it was imposed on your club, and you'll quickly revert to normal next year?

Like the Chelsea fans here have been saying, it's not as though these players are going to disappear.

If United are offered the chance to sign a world class CM are you going to say "no thanks, he will impede McTominay?" You certainly aren't saying no to Sancho when his arrival surely means Greenwood drops out of the first XI.

Poor Lampard realized pretty quickly that it’s fielding youth and sticking to ideals, or it’s your job.

Tomori, Abraham and CHO won’t be at Chelsea in two years time. Mount will probably be gone within three.

I think James will stick around for a while because he is very competent all round. I think Mount will find it tough getting past the likes of Havertz to play in big games. CHO similarly. He wants to play week in, week out.

I don’t think Tomori or Abraham are good enough and losing their battles to players already at the club, doesn’t bode well for them.

So, another £100M+ on defenders, Ake already and this guy who is one of the best.
Thing is, Laporte (City s best CB), Koulibaly and Ake are all LCB. I cannot see Guardiola signing 2 LCBs, and playing one of them on.the right cb

What a rant on a United forum

No one really cares about CHO and his career here mate

I guess they can afford a few because their hits really hit. £135m for Dembele; £100m approx for Sancho; and you’d imagine £100m+ for Haaland soon after.

To be fair a lot of our fans do say stuff like this. Greenwood's form post return has made a number of people say we shouldn't spend so much on Sancho. Thankfully given our injury record and the number of games we play, they dont manage United.

However it is a wierd mentality some have developed. I say wierd because sir Alex was one of the first to recognise the importance of a quality squad with bench being able to step in with no drop in quality and its probably one of the reasons for his success. You would have thought therefore we would have appreciated the value.

Develop talent alongside maybe? I don't really care what Chelsea do, like I said the issue I have is the amount of praise they've gotten for something they don't do. Mount had shown promise this year, CHO has shown it in the past. One season when you've actually exceeded most people's expectations and it doesn't seem good enough?

If people praised them for quickly turning around bad situations, fair enough. Somehow Chelsea have stayed relevant for 15 years, even when you thought the squad was aging etc.

I have zero sympathy for him. Chelsea panicked when they got the transfer ban and literally begged him to stay at any price. The moment the transfer ban is over they've sold him down the river in favour of shiner toys. They have a track record of this, so either he is extremely stupid, or he is being advised by a bunch of morons. He should've looked beyond the desperation and fake promises on offer at Chelsea and joined Bayern - you only have to look at the likes of Gnabry to see what could've been.

If he stays, I can't see him starting more than 20% of Chelsea games next season. Same applies to Mount, RLC, Tomori, Abraham, Zouma and the other Chelsea 'youngsters' that Lampard has been stealing the plaudits for developing. He played those youngsters out of necessity, not through some noble art of player development. If they hadn't been transfer banned, they'd all be endlessly farmed out on loan like they usually do.

James is the only player that I can see being a continued success at that club next season. The rest will go the way of McEchran, Chalobah and co.

Why are Southampton selling him? He was stripped of the captaincy recently too, wasn’t he? Hasenhuttl doesn’t fancy him?

Running down his contract, only has one year left which is why 25m is also a bit steep. I imagine it has some add-ons though if true.

What's the deal with Hojbjerg? I've never once watched Southampton this season and thought "wow, he's a standout player." He just seems kinda...okay. Weird how several higher profile clubs are so intent on signing him as if he tore up trees for the Saints.

He's very Everton.

It shows that quality central midfielders are hard to come by. He’s a decent, all-round PL midfielder.

Some cnuts on here we’re calling CHO a generational talent on here recently

He’s absolutely shite.
Disagree, he has a lot of potential. I would not call him a generational talent at this stage, of course, but this is certainly closer to the mark than 'absolutely shite'.

He’s not shite at all IMO.

I think he will prove to be a quality player.

He was quite good before the achilles injury, has he been worse since then or has he given flashes of his best in the aftermath? Any Chelsea fans able to chime in on that?
