Shows how dire our right wing attacking options are, when we're supposedly targeting Zaha :wenger:

Considering the 25% discount with a sell on fee due to us, he is hardly a bad option at 26. He was dire in his performances here, but lets face it, I dont know the figures, but he barely played a game under Moyes did he. He is amongst the best wingers in our league, certainly ability wise.
I would rather we were to sign Sancho and if that wasnt possible maybe Lozano who is also a fantastic talent though for some reason doesnt seem popular on here, who would be a bargain at £35m. But if we could sign Zaha and the player he looked i his preseason games for us with his now added experience, I think he would be a good signing

Zaha would be an excellent addition to the team, a proven goal scoring PL midfielder who operates on the right side.

What could go wrong?

He's failed here already, so there's actually plenty that could go wrong and probably will. He's not good enough. People used to say the same about Cabaye, Schneiderlin etc. It's fecking madness.

why didn't we put a buy back clause in place? We sold him back for a pittance it's ridiculous frankly

He hardly got a chance here.

The Alexis transfer might be the worst in football history in hindsight given all the collateral damage it's done, players would wouldn't sniff giant wages elsewhere feel entitled to top 10 in the league money all of a sudden...

Don't see the connection with Alexis. I understand if Ander is not being offered the comparable wages elsewhere but refuses anyway, but here, his entire position is based on the wages and length of contract being offered by another club

With Marca publishing more stories about Pogba, it's quite obvious that the club really want him. I wouldn't be surprised if Raiola turns his head this summer and Pogba starts talking about his future being uncertain more and more.

On the Zaha story, it has suddenly come out of thin air from the crap outlets, and now MEN are just rolling with it with nothing new offered. I wouldn't worry about that yet.

Zaha? Very good player? Proved PL goalscorer? The only Zaha I know is an average Everton level at best player who would be massively overpriced and wouldn't solve our RW at all.

Zaha is brainless, on his day his pace and athletic ability are a threat but a lot of the time he's a headless chicken winger.

Zaha has a free role at fecking Crystal Palace. We would be idiots to sign him for an undoubtedly inflated price.

Do you guys even watch Palace? Zaha isn't good enough for where we aspire to be. Nowhere near.

I have a feeling we'll spend heavily in the summer transfer window, hope we have a 250m net to spend this summer, that would be a dream for us

Player sales: Free Sanchez (hopefully), Bailly £25-30m, Rojo £20m, Darmain £10m, Andreas £15m and possible sales of Henderson £20m, Mata free = £95m

RW/false 9: Greizmann/Sancho for 100m max
CB: Koulibaly or Varane for 70-80m max
CM, Bruno 40-50m max
DM/DLP like Thiago, Neves, etc for 70 max
RB: Semedo, Cancelo and other top RB quality = 40-50 max

Total = 350m spending. 350m - 95M sales = 255m net.

Those who are shooting down Zaha need to look again...

Can play anywhere across the front 3 with ease, naturally a Right sided player, Consistently has Goal and Assists every year and getting better every year. Zaha in Ole's counter attacking style team would be lethal, under Ole he'd get game time and provide great competition. If he doesn't start then he'd be a great impact sub to bring on vs tired legs. for the £35-£40m being touted about, I'd really like us to go for him.

Zaha goals and assists last few seasons in the prem:

2016/17 - 7 goals - 11 assists (mainly RW)
2017/18 - 9 goals - 5 assists (mainly ST)
2018/19 - 8 goals - 7 assists (mainly LW)

Zaha...fecking hell no thanks.

1 decent game in 10 at best. Seems to have a lot of injury issues these days too.

Zaha? No.

Place free role at Palace ,feels like a megastar on the field for them.

Showboats with needless tricks which makes him lose the ball several times.

Can't afford to have him and pogba on the pitch at the same time.

 Yeah, adrien rabiot would sit front row, on the wing, wearing a PSG hat. How people ever believed that is bonkers.

Fecking hell you people getting worked up about Zaha when it's probably just some shite made up rumour as usual. I can't see Solskjaer wanting an average 27 year old. Judging his statement regarding transfers he will most likely be in for much younger players.

We have average cloggers like Lingard and Mata stinking out our RW but people on here wouldn’t take Zaha even on a free...

Ironic you're using that emoji if you think Zaha is better than Lingard

Got to be said, Zaha seems a lovely fellow, though. Wish we didnt keep having miserable and/or nutcase managers, because Fergie or Ole wouldnt have let him leave.

Really like Zaha, but yeah. He'd be shockingly expensive. It this was pre-inflated transfer fees, I'd love him here, but not for what they'd be asking.

The impact of the Alexis transfer will not be anywhere near as important as people make out.

If indeed we have so massively overpaid Alexis Sanchez that all of our players want to be overpaid to, they shouldn’t be able to leave to get it elsewhere. After all, we are the stupid ones who pays too much, not other sides.

The reality is, the only problem in this particular equation is PSG, not Sanchez. If what Herrera wants is so unreasonable, he shouldn’t be able to get it at another top club. PSG aren’t offering him 200k because we pay Alexis a lot of money. They obviously think he’s worth that, and if he can get 200 elsewhere, then he wouldn’t accept 170 here regardless of what Alexis earns.

You said ‘players who wouldn’t sniff top wages elsewhere’ - if that were the case he’d re-sign with us rather than take less money elsewhere.

If they were paying a transfer fee there's no way they pay him that.
