That's win-win for us. But imagine if Bale becomes the next RVP that win us the league, Salah just suddenly become the player we know in Roma, 10-15 goals at best. Liverpool doesn't have players that score 30+ goals and 18+ point drop due to Salah winning them games last season, they need to make up for that.

I'm guessing the Fabinho transfer rules out a Sidibe transfer. Monaco like their money but it would be plain stupid to let their #1 AND their #2 RB go. Don't see it happening. That's one off our list.

I agree, he was looking really good before his injury, people forget how serious it was and he hasnt actually been bad with the very limited opportunities he has had. How can he prove himself without playing, it seems because the manager has singled him out and not played him he has a poor mentality, which he may well do but we dont know what goes on behind the scenes.
Fact is he hasnt progressed, but it was stagnated by an injury and he is just 22 years old. There doesnt seem a huge choice of left backs available either Rose/Tierney I think Shaw is better than both. Sandro has been very good but was poor this season and would be a lot of money if happens at all and some of the other options are injury prone. Heinrichs is a good option as he can play right back too...maybe allowing us to keep Shaw and play Mensah at right back if need be (though I think Mensah isnt really a right back anyway).
We bemoan Martial possibly leaving with the talent he has....but he hasnt performed (should be up front though) and has had more opportunities than Shaw. If Shaw goes he goes but I wouldnt be dissapointed if he stayed either

He has left Monaco for a team with champions league football, that just reached the final and are one of the worlds most historic clubs which is big enough in itself. Also personally I think Fabinho is a good player....but has been over rated, like a lot of the Monaco players last year, Bakayoko being the worst and it has showed. Clube bigger than Liverpool...Milans (not at the moment) then the likes of us Bayern and the two big Spanish sides.....he isnt of that quality if you ask me (yes of coruse he could get into our side as it currently is but I think we can do better)

I like how journalists try to paint transfers as soap operas. Fabinho was Liverpool bound for a while and no 'late attempt' from Arsenal was going to change a damn thing.

What is it with Real and re-signing players. That would be a good window for Madrid, real competition at RB for Carvajal, Gimenez is a top quality centre half (can’t see Atletico fans being happy at losing another defender to Real), Alisson is a fine keeper and they need backup for Benzema
