Just because they dont do rumors, your words, doesnt make the story any more valid. Likely its his agent sending a message.
I don't get this. He sort of acts like he knows its true, which you then discount. But then you kind of act like another thing must be true, based on nothing other than your intuition?

There's a massive difference in acting like something is true and saying something is "likely".

Yes, his post would have been received entirely differently had he said, "Ander is likely interested in joining PSG" rather than obviously interested. I doubt anyone would've raised an eyebrow.

No its called past experience and 90% of the time its the agent doing what he has to do for his client. Judging by Anders many comments about his love for the club and Ole being a huge fan of his it would be shocking for me if he were allowed to leave.

Herrera is a man of footballing history. I can't see him wanting a move to PSG.

You need to take a nap.
Too much work to do balancing out the delusion...

On that note, if you think Ander Herrera, at 30 years old seeking his final major contract, is not even interested in an offer from PSG that could net him an extra 10M+ depending on sign on bonus, then that is delusional. Because you also have to take into account the little fact of the matter that he has not signed an extension with this club and only has a couple months remaining on the contract. And on top of that, you could also consider that from Ander's perspective he has played for no major trophies during his time here and could be going into a season with his 4th new manager. No matter how much of an old soul or romantic he is for the game, he's not stupid.

That being said, it's for the better we sign him (at something less than Toni Kroos and Marco Verrati money please) and find a way to usher in a more talented player in his spot.

The best/«most gifted» midfielders in a team often get more attacking responsibility. That does not mean they can’t take more responsibility with regards to defensive duties.

Worst case, he cant take the defensive duties against good teams, but gives us more options against poor teams playing compact in a low block.

I also understand he is a very good ten, and could be a good option to Lingard in games where we play with a diamond and two strikers.

In short, he is a creative player that would give us options. We need that. If a team manage to take out Pogba, we usually struggle.

We definitely need more creativity but in that role behind the strikers, Fernandes mostly plays in a 3 man midfield like Pogba, he's not a proper #10 or false 9, he also wont be able to play with Pogba in a 3 man midfield against the bulk of teams because the PL doesn't have that much cannon fodder, where you can just have 1 CM unless you are City who are one of the best drilled attacking teams in Europe. Bruno Fernandes would mostly be cover for Pogba here and really doesn't look anything special, we should focus on quality not quantity IMO.

Can you show me where they're quoting the sun? I cant seem to find anything in the RMC's report that's quoting the sun.

Show me where they're quoting the Sun ?

Reported by RMC now.

As announced by the English and Spanish press on Thursday, Ander Herrera has never been closer to Paris Saint-Germain. According to information from RMC Sport, the advanced negotiations concern a four-year contract.

The Spanish press stated that they were quoting the English press which was The Sun

They're are not quoting the Sun. The info provided today is their own info. I'm sure the French posters could also confirm that..

I not sure how you can say that. He has probably played more as a 10 or second striker than midfielder.

To put it bluntly. You are wrong.

RMC are always on the money when it comes to French clubs. I don't believe they'd put a story like this out there if they didn't have solid information in the first place.

Considering they'd cost us more or less the same amount of money, who should we go for, Varane or Koulibaly ? As it seems both players would like a move in the off season.

Wouldn't Coutinho be a quality signing for us?

Or do you think he'd occupy a similar position to Pogba?

I think he is a class player who'd add a creative flair to our attack.

He plays Pogba's role, the free one with much less defensive duties, so he'd be a bench option rather than a starter for us, we need to focus on the first 11 before paying €40M or more for squad depth IMO.

It is true he is given more freedom than the regular Sporting CP player, but part of it is because (well his quality duh) he has that fierce/pitbull attitude, kinda like Rooney did in his prime, so even if he was given less defensive duties it is hard with his type of play.
It's quite common seeing him leading a attack and 1min later chasing the opposition on his own area.
He's always around the top of distance run per game.

So in that sense he is quite the opposite of Pogba, he doesnt like show off and will fight for every single ball.

There are also confident journos saying he wants to stay at United. The truth is probably that he would prefer to stay with a new contract and wage rise but his agent is inviting interest to put pressure on United and to provide a back up club if United don't want to pay.

I think he wants to stay too, but he could be asking for a wage that is too high. There might be some truth in what David McDonnell wrote in his Mirror column.

I believe RMC if its them reporting the news. Just hope he can be swayed back to staying with us somehow.

Barca don't want to lose much money on him and I don't think he wants to leave so it would take a massive fee and big wages to get a player who doesn't quite fit and probably doesn't want to be here.

Chelsea could use him if Hazard leaves but I think PSG or Italy are most likely.

Varane knows we have been chasing him since he was 18, that’s got to count for something.
