I see the whole argument over PSG is in full flow, the difference between Ligue 1 and Serie A/Bundesliga is that while all 3 leagues have one ludicrously dominant financial powerhouse, the quality of the competition below the top slot is much higher than in Ligue 1, the lack of any kind of competition most weeks for PSG is clear in comparison to the other two leagues, even if the end result is the same Champions almost every season.

That's what I had said the other day on here. All of these players are kind of Deep Lying Playmakers (though De Jong could adapt his game to a different role) and having even 3 such players in their squad is a bit much, never mind 4. Makes me wonder, are they gonna be moving Verratti?

It's possible that Verratti and Raiola are looking to finally move him on, or the Paredes thing could be that they've found out de Jong is going to Barca and their board might have doubts over Weigl. One way or the other I can't see PSG with more than 2 of those 4 come the start of next season.

One part of me hinks it's right to wait until we know who the new manager should be, before we decide on which players to buy. Another part of me feels that not buying a new player in this window could cost us a top-4 position.

I think he'll take West Ham to the next level. If he can find his form like Felipe Anderson, West Ham are building a nice attack.
West Ham are so impressive when it comes to transfers.

Really understand the buy high sell low, class is permament etc mantra on a far superior level to their hipster Premier League rivals.

Haha this stupid Torino president was quoting us 100mm+ Euros for him two summers ago, seems like he'll have to do with West Ham and less than 50mm now.

Why stupid ? 2 seasons ago he scored 26 goals in 35 matches for a fairly mediocre side - and he was one of the hottest young strikers around. Now he is 25 and has 1.5 fairly average seasons behind him. Naturally his value will drop

The City fans/journos fume when they miss out on a transfer target is always funny. Will be especially amusing when they start complaining about PSG's money.

Stupid, because everyone that follows Serie A knew that asking price was ridiculous.

Nah, they'll put out a press release saying they pulled the plug, obviously.

Wouldn't touch this with a 10 ft pole. Why would Porto be pushing for him to go now for E50m when his buyout increases to E75m in May? My thought would be that he isn't worth the E50m they want for him now and in another 6 months of playing he certainly wont be worth the E75m and probably not even the E50m. Didnt he join the club in the summer just gone? Definitely having a purple patch and Porto want to cash in.
Because whoever translated it to english fecked up. The clause is 75, but comes down to 50 between may 31 and july 15. Hence why real madrid want to sign him for the summer. They want to pay 50m instead of 75

What’s that in real money..?
€5m p.a... Don’t think Bayern would pay that to an unproven player that also costs quite a bit. Maybe if he was on a free transfer.
Problem is they've put their balls right above the lava, it's an "are we more attractive than Chelsea" battle for reputation now.
