I reckon it will depend on Martial's contract extension. I think we will go for Werner if we were unable to agree on new contract terms with Martial.

I would rather sell Lukaku and keep Martial while we pursue Werner.

Lukaku is fine for us as the squad player, If we need new attacking player, we could do with left-footed players with playmakers abilities.

Ohh Chelsea will go for Werner to replace Morata and getting Pulisic and Lozano. They're all United fans.:(

Can't see him agreeing to be a squad player long-term. His wages also make that an issue.

I don't think United should be moving for a CF yet. Solskjaer seems to have the perfect understanding on how to use Lukaku. I'd like to see him have a good 6 months under him. If he does fail to get going, Werner seems set to stay till the summer.
We do need a proper wide man on the right, preferably left footed since every single forward is painfully right footed. This is where the scouting department needs to come through and find us a Mane like figure.

No offense to our resident PSG posters but if De Jong has a little bit of brain he would stay and wait for a better team's offer. Their league is nothing and they will win even without playing at their best. Only meaningful games they have is the CL. Verratti has got his career stagnated. Nobody cares about Neymar anymore. You need to be playing in a better league to stay in the limelight.

And this people is how you don't get the best talents. Why keep spending money on the academy? All unproven. Waste of money.
Why gave an academy if your plan is to spunk a quarter of a billion on 3 kids?
I could do that sporting director job if this was the mandate.
Don't worry, there will be can't miss, generational talent next year that we just have to spend 100m on like the hype says every summer.
They're just so rare, am I right?

Werner is not needed. With Rashford and Lukaku, that is enough. Even if Lukaku goes, we have Sanchez and Greenwood as options.

We do need a forward, but preferably a right sided one.

Can someone clear up the Alderweireld contract for me please? Does this spurs news mean anyone can activate his 25m release clause in January? Or do you have to wait until the summer.

Liverpool must be getting a generous loan fee for Clyne if they're letting him go.

Latest lot of United rumours I've seen (exits) relate to Bailley and Valencia

Apparently Inter are interested in Valencia if they sell Miranda, while Sevilla are looking at Bailley.

Valencia is an absolute no brainer for me. We've 5 senior full Backs and his ladt performances shows how far he has declined. With his contract ending soon, this makes sense to offload as we need to clear out the mediocre in our large squad.

Bailley I'd a tricky one. A Good start to his 2.5 seasons at the club, but he has joined Jones and Rojo too often on the sick note list, while his few performances this season are below par. While I'm willing to give him until the end if the season, I'd be minded to offload now of we could recoup our transfer for him. Yes he may turn good, but there is a greater chance he turns into a dud.

He hardly plays nowadays and Milner/Gomez can fill in at RB if they need to.
Yeah I know but I'd have thought a natural RB would be preferable to Milner at least. How much longer is Gomez out for?

Except those three are levels above your usual wonderkids. De Ligt especially is someone I'd break the bank over.
And if being proven was everything why have United's glorious incoming transfers failed almost every time? De Ligt and De Jong at the right club will be world class. And speaking about whether there will be a centre back who's 19 years old and already starting for Holland and captaining a team in the latter stages of the CL in a year's time who's as good as De Ligt, that's a very, very long shot. I doubt he's even considering United with Barca looking towards him as the long-term Pique replacement and Madrid needing a Ramos replacement.

I think he's due back for Brighton or maybe the game after that? It was 4-6 weeks that was quoted when he got his injury against Burnley.
