We won't though. They want daft money, they always do. He's not worth the money they want.
His value will drop considerably after the summer window. De Laurentis is a wiseman and will know that. Think someone will sign him in the summer for around £80m. I hope it's us, because along with VVD, he's the best.

Think we'd be daft to pay that much for someone that old who has never played in the PL before, it would be a risk. I really rate him, but it wouldn't make sense.

I don't think he's really old at 27? I know everyone on here is desperate for him and he's very much the flavour of the month at the moment, so I won't bother trying to be anything but "DADDY DADDY WANT WANT" about him in the future.

I've seen us burnt so badly with transfers over the last few years, so many duds, I'm nervous about big money moves :nervous:

Isn't he just swapping benches or are Bayern likely to play him?
His competition on the wings would be Coman, Gnabry and Davies. With Bayern usually going on deep runs in all three competitions there is more than enough minutes in it for him, if(!) he is ready.

If DeLa actually wanted to sell Koulibaly he wouldn't be asking for daft money. Wouldn't have given him a big raise just months after he signed a new contract. Napoli have no interest in selling Koulibaly. They would do it only if it's for so much money that they could massively strengthen the team

Could it a Sancho moment for Hudson-Odoi, in that he moves abroad and tears up the league?

You'd imagine he'd get decent game time with Robben and Robery's career coming to an end.

£80m is daft money that could potentially massively strengthen them.

You mean as in „There is a price“ (Wolfsburg) or „We are not selling“ (Dortmund)?
KdB had a price, Lewandowski was forced to run out his contract.
Yes, who are Leipzig closer to in their attitude towards Bayern?

Wolfsburg's director even came out and said he preferred to sell De Bruyne to Bayern in order to keep him in the Bundesliga.

Yep. Apparently PSG sporting director Henrique is in Amsterdam trying to close a deal. Latest is that he brings an offer completely out of the market for both of them.

I wish our sporting director was in Amsterdam for negotiating the purchase of Frenkie de Jong :(

I think we will end up finishing the window with CHO out, Fabregas out, Fekir/wilson in and Denis Suarez

double post, but i am also not surprised at the revisionism from the Liverpool fans re. Pulisic on Twitter. A week ago they were convinced he was going there and was a quality signing, now they never wanted him and ain't bothered. Nice try lads

Part of the issue now is, we seem to be waiting till the summer for new manager or Sporting Director to buy anyone, and we will possibly miss out on De Ligt and De Jong, not to mention after missing out on Pulisic too, whilst we are twiddling our thumbs.
