fecking joke of a club. Spent more than double that on Pulisic, when you have your own young talent just itching for a chance. Homegrown nonetheless.

I hope young players just stop signing for them. It’s a total waste of time.

It’s not a waste of time if they get out early. Their youth teams do well. Players like Hudson Odoi just need to leave when they are bordering the first team.

Look how difficult the club is making it though. Compared to being at other clubs where there is an actual route to the first team. Who gives a shit about winning anything at youth level? It all about development and graduating to the first team.

Man Utd academy graduates in PL = 29
Chelsea = 10

But, but their youth teams are so good..

Manolas at 34m would be a steal. He's a bit of a bastard too, would add some steel to the defence.

He's an absolute lunatic with his tackling. It works for him in Italy, but there's a chance he'd pick up a lot of cards in games with faster pace. Defensively and in the air he's a monster. Definitely worth a punt at that price.

TBF to him though, he has a ton of experience, unlike say a Bailly who is also reckless at times. He's done it in Europe as well as in Italy. I just don't think you can get many better CB's for such a bargain price, maybe Toby in the summer, that's about it.

Isn't Manolas bit short? Any regular Serie A viewers?

Smalling ,Lindeloff ,Manolas and a new CB doesn't sound too bad.

I think we will buy one senior CB ( KK or Manolas) and one young one (that Serbian or Brazilian)

The Callum Hudson-Odoi transfer fees is nonsense, right?
18 year old. hasn't been capped. Hasn't gone on loan. A few scattered appearances for Chelsea...

And Bayern want to pay 30m + for him? That has to be a fecking joke.

He isn't short, he is probably around the same height as Rojo. He is a monster in the air and has good recovery pace. I cant see United signing him though. It makes too much sense for us.

Sancho is having an effect on a lot of club's thinking.
What's £30m if they can sell him back in 3 years for £70m?

Cheers, makes too much sense.

Sancho was a lot cheaper. Even if he was a dud, Dortmund would probably get a decent amount of their money back by selling him back to some English club.

30m+ is a lot for a gamble... unless Bayern really think he is worth it

I want Toby. Proven, cheap, great player and will add experience to Lindelof hopefully.

He's been poor this season, lost a yard of pace and making errors, plus he's not great in the air which is an issue if he played with Lindelof, I think he'd end up a Schweinsteiger type of buy.

That Manolas story is just the Mirror quoting another garbage Italian source. Why anyone takes anything the Mirror says seriously is beyond me.

Depends, are Leipzig more of a Dortmund or Wolfsburg in their attitude towards dealing with Bayern?
You mean as in „There is a price“ (Wolfsburg) or „We are not selling“ (Dortmund)?
KdB had a price, Lewandowski was forced to run out his contract.

From their homegrown players below, the ones in red are linked to other clubs this window as well so it seems weird.

Barkley, Ross*
Cahill, Gary James*
Christensen, Andreas Bodtker*
Drinkwater, Daniel Noel*
Fabregas Soler, Francesc*
Green, Robert Paul*
Loftus Cheek, Ruben*
Moses, Victor*
Piazon, Lucas Domingues*

He has 18 months on his contract and won't resign. They can either sell him now for a decent fee or let him leave in the following transfer windows for less or for free at the end of his contract.

They'll will want Bayern to pay a high price for him or sell him to Leipzig for less but with an agreed buy back price or such like I would imagine.

They won’t get a buyback clause out of Bayern, who are the bigger club.

Does anyone actually think we will get a top CB this month? I'd be amazed.

Won't argue with anyone that we badly need one, but we have an interim manager and a DoF role to fill, and its very hard to get top quality players in Jan.

Just can't see it.

I will be pissed off if he leaves for any other epl team other than us. The guy is the perfect foil for Pogba... and could be a decent replacement for Matic who breaks up play and moves the ball forward quickly....

So would I mate.
I've wanted him so long now. My mate is a Man City and he regularly winds me up by saying things like "what would I feel like seeing Ndombelle in a city shirt?".

Agree with post. Can't see it either mate. Would love to have Koulibaly but notoriously hard to negotiate with good clubs in January, especially for their better players.
As I don't see us getting him, I'd wait until we get quality DoF (hopefully soon) before we make any signings.

Koulibaly first please :D

I'd rather get Koulibaly in the summer than buy another average defender.

Right now Smalling/Lindelof/Bailly are good enough to steady the ship. Sell Jones/Rojo.

Use Tuanzebe +1 this summer.
