If we were going to play Isco and Pogba in the same midfield we’d need to find a DM genius or something to go behind them! Couldn’t see it working otherwise. Great player though. City will probably buy him to stop Liverpool getting him.

Isco is a great player that plays the game beautifully. However, he isn't going to fit as a winger in a 433 or the CAM in a 4231 because of Pogba.

Love Isco as a player but we need to stop buying square for round holes just because they're talented.
If Poch is to come here, he might actually fit in the system he is currently playing at spurs. He will take the role and position Eriksen is currently playing for them.

Can Isco be our Eriksen under Poch? (if we manage to get Poch)
4-4-2 with Fred and a new mobile DM covering for Pogba and Isco with FBs providing width? More like a 4-2-2-2

Man United fan and Hull City STH....Leeds not my favourite club. Hate the city as well, absolute nightmare to navigate

Agreed, I moved to Leeds from Sheffield last year and the one way system is mind boggling

Where does he play usually play him? I just thought he was the CAM in a 4231.

Next week is when we need to bring in at least 2 players. Don't know if Woodward will sanction any money for players, but it would be a big mistake not to bring a CB or 2 in. We will have no chance of top 4 without strengthening our backline.

I do exams there and always park in the same multi-storey. Last time the satnav just failed to direct me to it, despite having been there several times before, kept sending me round and round in circles. Running out of time, had to park in a totally new car park, run to my exam....when I came out of it I couldn’t find the fecking car park I’d dumped the car in. Asking for directions in Leeds is pointless as well....nobody seems to have a clue where anything is

Has Isco somehow become shit or something ? Dude can play.

He's a good player but there dosen't seem to be a lot of progress in his output in terms of goals and assists. Produces magical moments at times, but not consistent enough. A change in scenery might just be what he needs though.

Nah.

Sort out our managerial issues first. Stupid to waste money without that sorted.

But our backline is very bad and leaking goals every game. We still have a chance of top 4, but not without bringing a couple in. Do you not think so.

Good player but we have far more pressing issues to address. Commanding centre back and a pacy, direct right winger need to be bought before we could even consider someone like Isco. Then there is the question of where would he play - I think he would occupy the same spaces as Pogba, so that’s not beneficial.

We are unlikely to sign anyone that would be an immediate fix to our defense. And we can't spend big money now if this might not be aligned with whatever the new manager wants.

I do share your fears with regards to our defense but let's first see how the rest of our defenders do under Ole.

I don't think Ole has been brought in especially for top 4. It would be nice but it's just about stabilizing us for the rest of the season.

I am no Jose fan but this just sounds made up really.

Jose was fired a few weeks ago. When was he dropped? Was he performing well he when he was dropped? I doubt a club would drop a performing player just to spite another club simply because one of their fans got sacked.
He was dropped before Jose got sacked. He didn't play in their league on 1st December or 8th December. Was back in the lineup on the 14th (where he conceded 3 goals) and was back on the bench for the 22nd.

Dont get me wrong as I like Isco.I thought he had a decent WC but having read a opinion piece on Madrid's current struggles and Scolari's issues with Isco I'm unsure whether United should take that risk considering we're desperately trying to bring the harmony and dedication back within the Manchester United squad.
Plus his best performances largely come from a position of strength where we're concerned ie Pogba.

The Ent could go on a free wherever he wanted in the summer but not a single club wanted him because of his ridiculous wage demands. That is of course until mastermind Ed came to the rescue and made him our third highest paid player...

If we want to become competitive then we need to move on players like Fellaini, Jones, Rojo, Valencia.

We can't keep on hoarding donkeys.

He's chatting bollocks. He isn't being paid more than De Gea. Sanchez, Pogba and De Gea are our three highest paid players. Lukaku is probably being paid more than Fellaini too. Besides, Mourinho was the one who wanted Fellaini to extend in the first place.

Yes, I was wrong, it was one of Mourinhos representatives who said that but I did just check and his new deal is £100 000 a week which equals £400 000 a month which is just as bad.

The moment Ed and more importantly Jose put that contract infront of him I knew we weren't going places aesthetically wise.

It is 100% on Ed. He already undermined Jose when it came to signing a CB and he should have refused to extend with Fellaini as well. Instead they bent over to his demands and gave him a £20 000 raise. No other club in the world was prepared to offer such a horrible player an £100 000 a week deal and that is a big problem this club has when it comes to transfers and contracts.

Even a player like Young is on £110 000 a week which is mental. That is why negotiations with Martial are not going well because he is on £75 000 a week and when he sees players like Young and Fellaini getting paid what they do then it is only natural Martial is probably demanding some mega deal. These things need to be taken into consideration before making new signings.
