We will finally get Hazard!

Hazard will have 1 years left on his contract by the end of this season, if we get Zidane, Hazard would be his first choice, Woodward approves kind of signing like this, marketable players, world-class players.

I call BS.

Why would he especially be keen on managing us? I don't see that with any of the premier league clubs. He has no affinity with united.

Now if we approached him I'm sure we would stand a good chance of getting him but him being especially keen on us? Nah. I don't buy it.

Well who else is he suppose to be keen on City and taking over Pep?

He speaks half the major European languages, but English is not one of them. I have my doubts over this.

You know Mike he is currently free and if he can speak half the European languages, I don’t think he’d have a problem learning another.

Isn't it pretty well known that Zidane has no real interest in a long term career in management?

Clickbait .

I'm packing Jose's bags myself and installing a punching bag with Materazzi's face in the manager's office if any of this is remotely true.

Am I the only one who's not at all convinced of Zidane's managerial skills?

You're rightfully skeptical - I am too. He inherited a wonderfully talented side and man-managed the hell out of them. Tactically, it never seemed like they had a very coherent gameplan. I worry about him coming here and being found out without a team full of superstars where you can just tell them to go out and play and you still win.

I think he inherited a fantastic team that underperformed immensely in the league during his tenure, getting progressively worse over time. The likes of Modric and Ronaldo practically dragged him to all his Champions Leagues titles.

How weird does it feel to question a manager who's won the last 3 CL's?! It's true though, it would be a pretty big risk.

We've been lying to ourselves trying to make the same general argument about Pep for years now. We've got a load of great players and would compete for almost any player with Zidane as coach.

Zidane would be a mistake. We do not have the players and experience that the Real team had.

Sacking Jose and bringing in Zidane would be the perfect next move in Woodward's series of feckwittery. I don't think Zidane has proven himself at all in relation to the task he'd face here.

He's basically a big name, hence I'm guessing why there's so many that think this would be a good idea.

Yes but imagine the calibre of players we could attract with Zidane at the helm. We could easily recreate a team with that quality.

I've always had this feeling that Zidane secretly hates the Premier League and English football, not sure why and I have no evidence but I'm 100% right.

Zidane would be great for you. I think he has already proven his worth, mainly because he wins, he knows how to manage the dressing room, knows how to gain the respect of the players and he has a good eye for talents.
He plays attacking football but is not naive when it comes to defending.
I think he does not speak English, but half the team speaks / understands French or Spanish, so I do not think it's a problem.
The news would have been good in June, but now it really does not give much ground to be excited

France are producing the best players and Zidane is an idol for them - thats the main reason I see for going for him.

Just like Pep would have been a mistake right...
Not saying Zidane is like Pep or he would automatically be an undoubted success, but the guy won 3 CL titles in a row. It doesn't matter that Real Madrid had a fantastic squad, it's still an incredible feat.

Of course it is, but that Real squad was already built and was full of the worlds best players who had an extremely high level of experience. They could manage themselves through any big game and scenario.
