Considering how lacklustre Pereiras loan was Im a little surprised that we would be loaning anyone to Valencia again.
It's on Pereira himself for not standing out. Playing minute wise, Pereira got plenty for a club who was fighting for CL qualification. It's a good environment to loan player for experience if you ask me. I swear some smaller PL clubs offered much less minutes for loanees because they're afraid to play loanees as ironically they want more experience in than giving experience away!!!

Why we continue to be linked with midfielders, I will never know.

Fred replaced Carrick and Fellaini renewed his contract, meaning we currently have 5 first choice midfielders (Matic, Pogba, Fred, Herrera, Fellaini) + a back up (McTominay).

Can't imagine Jose will want to add more centre midfielders unless anyone is going.

It also sounds like unless we can sign a top class attacking player then we'll not be signing anyone.

The fact that he doesn't have a position aside, if he doesn't get any minutes (highly likely) then he won't really improve and won't be of any benefit to us. Let him go like Januzaj and Memphis did and if he improves he can always come back for a reduced fee.

They are not Buy back clauses totally nevertheless, those are first option clauses for a significant amount more than we sold them for, and it's unwise to pay one and half or double the price on players you used to own but deemed not good enough at the moment to get into your first team few years later. Memphis was a huge investment and we had to get our money back on that and Januzaj lacked the engine , and motivation to Make it here. Fosu mensah seems to have a great attitude and works hard on what manager wants him to do. If given chances and proper coaching he could develop into something our fanbase and the manager would love to have at this club. He could be a proper Bailly substitute if he gets game time as our injury record on the defensive front is pretty poor. Specially I see his future in a back three which we do try time to time.If he does not get any game time till December he could always go on a loan in Jan window in Epl itself.

This is where I really struggle to understand our transfer/recruitment policy TFM has been at the club nearly 4 years, presumably he was scouted prior to that so its not unreasonable to suggest we (United) should have a reasonable idea as to his ability/potential, I am of the opinion that he is'nt top draw, premier league quality yes, but not good enough to be a first teamer at United (my opinion).

So why are we loaning him ? Is it part of his development, (2 more years of loans and he's 'ready'), or is it because we are too scared to make a judgement, there must be people at the club who are paid a lot of money to make these decisions, this is why we have a so called bloated squad full of average/decent players, I know he is still 20 ? And could improve but without drawing comparisons at other clubs, after 4 years of careful scrutiny and development if he is'nt knocking on the first team door, then it should be simple, he needs to move on....permantley.

Ultimately, I don't think we are going to squabble about a few million here or there if the player is genuinely worth buying back. If TFM is ready to play more then he will obviously stay, but if it looks like he is going to be bench fodder for an entire year then its pointless to hold him back from looking at other options. We are not in the business of playing players unless it helps our cause.

I had high hopes for him 3 seasons ago but he hasn't really seized the opportunity, neither with us nor on loan. There's a good amount of talent and athleticism there, but it hasn't been galvanized into a proper footballer yet - nor do we know if that will ever happen.

He's 20 years old. Calm down. A good season kicking in players in the Bundesliga or La Liga where he'll have to deal with technique and speed will help him loads. Hope he goes on a two year deal wherever he goes so there's some continuity for him and not just chopping and changing of teams and roles and positions.

Good points. I wouldn't say this is what the people at clubs may think, but you may need to consider with homegrown rule in England, it can affect fee we may get. Even if we may draw the line about him not making it with us, he's to become a ready made homegrown player for 19-20 season would get us better fee then, than accepting permanent option for him now. There is loophole in sell on clause, so clubs would still want to get as much fee up front as possible.

Personally he was one of the brightest spots at United during LVG's time. And he seems a nice radiant personality willing to learn. Just needs minutes and someone to mold him. He's no Andreas Pereira. Mourinho in his presser seemed to indicate he was gonna get a proper audition. I'm not very impressed by what I saw of him and he doesn't really have a slot anywhere in the team.
Won't get minutes with so many options in the midfield and I'd rather give those minutes to McTominay and he really will struggle out wide on the right. Doesn't make sense keeping, I'd hoped that after a few links to Real Betis maybe we'd get him out of the door for some decent fee, but it looks like he'll stick around and warm the bench.

You may well be right, the 'homegrown' rule never crossed my mind, after all he's a Dutch born Ghanain I think ?

3 years in England before turning 21 to be eligible. TFM already qualified, but he can't be registered for homegrown quota until next season. In short his value goes up next season for English clubs even if he's the same. Some shite players got quite decent fee the past few years just because they can help filling the quota

Thanks for the info.

Honestly, haven’t we seen enough of Delaney to blacklist him now? What has he ever gotten first or right?

I’m pretty sure Delaney deletes some of his bollocks tweets so he doesn’t get completely exposed. I definitely remember him tweeting last Summer that the Perisic deal was done, and that we were very close to signing Bale and can’t find either story now.

Chelsea with no champions league going to sign Jorginho Pjanic Higuain & that Russian defender. Why are transfers so easy for them?

Can't remember where but I remember a CEO of a club said they don't like option to buy deals because there's no positive for the selling club. I.e if they have a good season he goes for cheaper then what they could have sold him for and if he doesn't then the other club usually don't want to buy. I think I'm right in saying an option to buy has to be a fixed term price.

If we only posted people who were right all the time, there wouldn't be any tweets at all.

Thank you! Some common sense. Transfer rumours should be considered just that, rumours!

I’m sick to death of people constantly demanding that this journalist or that journalist be banned.

What another top class striker after paying £75m for one last year? And a central midfielder after already buying one this summer? From a club that doesn’t sell players they want to keep.

Ok then!

That was the biggest thing you picked up....not the focusing on more 'necessary targets'. So the one position we don't have a natural player for and that's not necessary lol. Anything else after that was a waste of reading.

Uh. Rumor needs to have sources. If rumor is all about shite throwing on the wall make up, then everyone can start rumor and get thing right from time to time. Delaney is no better than anyone. When it comes to reporter, we need some standard for the rumor. Delaney has shown he is not up to that standard.

This.

I trusted that ITK on the Griezmann/Kohler deal and I trusted Glaston's "Martial was blown away by Spurs facilities" chat over anything that comes from Delaney. He's a B.S merchant.
