Considering how lacklustre Pereiras loan was Im a little surprised that we would be loaning anyone to Valencia again.
Was posted earlier. Complete garbage from Delaney.
It's on Pereira himself for not standing out. Playing minute wise, Pereira got plenty for a club who was fighting for CL qualification. It's a good environment to loan player for experience if you ask me. I swear some smaller PL clubs offered much less minutes for loanees because they're afraid to play loanees as ironically they want more experience in than giving experience away!!!Considering how lacklustre Pereiras loan was Im a little surprised that we would be loaning anyone to Valencia again.
The fact that he doesn't have a position aside, if he doesn't get any minutes (highly likely) then he won't really improve and won't be of any benefit to us. Let him go like Januzaj and Memphis did and if he improves he can always come back for a reduced fee.
They are not Buy back clauses totally nevertheless, those are first option clauses for a significant amount more than we sold them for, and it's unwise to pay one and half or double the price on players you used to own but deemed not good enough at the moment to get into your first team few years later. Memphis was a huge investment and we had to get our money back on that and Januzaj lacked the engine , and motivation to Make it here. Fosu mensah seems to have a great attitude and works hard on what manager wants him to do. If given chances and proper coaching he could develop into something our fanbase and the manager would love to have at this club. He could be a proper Bailly substitute if he gets game time as our injury record on the defensive front is pretty poor. Specially I see his future in a back three which we dontrybtime to time.If he does not get any game time till December he could always go on a loan in Jan window in Epl itself.
This is where I really struggle to understand our transfer/recruitment policy TFM has been at the club nearly 4 years, presumably he was scouted prior to that so its not unreasonable to suggest we (United) should have a reasonable idea as to his ability/potential, I am of the opinion that he is'nt top draw, premier league quality yes, but not good enough to be a first teamer at United (my opinion).
So why are we loaning him ? Is it part of his development, (2 more years of loans and he's 'ready'), or is it because we are too scared to make a judgement, there must be people at the club who are paid a lot of money to make these decisions, this is why we have a so called bloated squad full of average/decent players, I know he is still 20 ? And could improve but without drawing comparisons at other clubs, after 4 years of careful scrutiny and development if he is'nt knocking on the first team door, then it should be simple, he needs to move on....permantley.
Good points. I wouldn't say this is what the people at clubs may think, but you may need to consider with homegrown rule in England, it can affect fee we may get. Even if we may draw the line about him not making it with us, he's to become a ready made homegrown player for 19-20 season would get us better fee then, than accepting permanent option for him now. There is loophole in sell on clause, so clubs would still want to get as much fee up front as possible.

3 years in England before turning 21 to be eligible. TFM already qualified, but he can't be registered for homegrown quota until next season. In short his value goes up next season for English clubs even if he's the same. Some shite players got quite decent fee the past few years just because they can help filling the quotaYou may well be right, the 'homegrown' rule never crossed my mind, after all he's a Dutch born Ghanain I think ?

How's Delaney not blacklisted? He's probably right about 1 in every 300 transfers and that's 1 is an obvious deal that 50 journos already beat him to.

'an upgrade on Kante' I was told. What a huge flop, and to think plenty on here were furious we didn’t buy him last summer.
If we only posted people who were right all the time, there wouldn't be any tweets at all.
What another top class striker after paying £75m for one last year? And a central midfielder after already buying one this summer? From a club that doesn’t sell players they want to keep.
Ok then!
Uh. Rumor needs to have sources. If rumor is all about shite throwing on the wall make up, then everyone can start rumor and get thing right from time to time. Delaney is no better than anyone. When it comes to reporter, we need some standard for the rumor. Delaney has shown he is not up to that standard.Thank you! Some common sense. Transfer rumours should be considered just that, rumours!
I’m sick to death of people constantly demanding that this journalist or that journalist be banned.
Wondering if Fabinho will be as big a let down in England as was Bakayoko. There's a reason why they haven't been getting called for their countries.'an upgrade on Kante' I was told.

I’m pretty sure Delaney deletes some of his bollocks tweets so he doesn’t get completely exposed. I definitely remember him tweeting last Summer that the Perisic deal was done, and that we were very close to signing Bale and can’t find either story now.
