Banfield president said we have scouted Julián Carranza, 18 year old attacker.

Centre Forward, made his first team debut on 24 November last year, has scored 5 goals in his 9 starts for mid-table Argentina Superliga side Banfield (0 goals in his 5 additional sub appearances).

Looks very two-footed, determined, and decent in the air. Promising.

(Though being Argentinian probably counts against his chances of doing well at Utd :smirk:)

May not have the money? When has that stopped them in the past. They have not spent that much money in the last 2 years and just sold Ronaldo for £105m. I expect them to spend at least £250m if not more this summer.
They are renovating their stadium which is quite costly but yeah I would expect them to spend quite a bit of money nevertheless.

They have though, haven't they ? Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo together cost a combined 90 m right ?

Even without Ronaldo, their wage budget must be quite high, it seems like half the squad get new contracts every summer.

It's also interesting that since they last spent big on a 'galactico' the market has moved on significantly. They can't bully other teams into transfers (which is why they're issuing these bizzare denials), and transfer fees have skyrocketed - everyone knows Real have money; If they want Hazard, Chelsea could easily ask for £200m, if they want Neymar, PSG could ask for £250m, what might seem like a big transfer budget would get eaten into very quickly in today's market.

Oh come on, we all want to see Hazard as Ronaldo's heir.:)

Do not mess with The Supreme Being :nono:

Fits.

Worryingly quiet for us on the transfer front. It's now or never but we aren't even being linked to anyone outside of the gutter press.. Now we wait. I expect a big bid for Pogba but think we will retain him.

With the WC having only just ended, it makes sense that it's relatively quiet. Expect the rumours to start again this week though. Not worried.

Agreement for Ćaleta-Car from Salzburg to Marseille for €17m and 5 year contract.

On what basis is he ‘£20m-rated?’

Prices are ridiculous nowadays. If Liverpool sold him for £6.5m nobody would bat an eyelid.

That's just the media being the media. I reckon the put an extra 0 for shits and giggles.

Signed for £6m (admittedly just a developmental fee), played feck all for 3 years and suffered serious injury, has 2 years left on his contract and is surplus to requirements... yet somehow now £20m rated. Lolzies.

I reckon they'll struggle to get their money back.

Good championship strikers are sold for £10-£15 million these days so around that price is probably reasonable.. A club would've had to bid at least £20 million to get him off Burnley at the time had he been under contract.

BREAKING: @BlindDaley almost definitive player #Ajax... has just reported during food to players and staff at training camp in England.

Thank feck for that. Darmian next please. How is he still stinking out the place.

"Julen Lopetegui is expected to tell Gareth Bale that he is in Real Madrid’s first-team plans for next season when he meets the Welshman for talks this week."

"Il Tempo believe Jürgen Klopp’s side have the advantage, ahead of Chelsea with their negotiations, but the Blues are ‘in ambush’ and preparing their response.
Il Messaggero believe the same"

I don't understand this long-awaited meeting. Of course the manager will say he will be key to his squad, he is one of the best players in the world. However, the new manager telling Bale he is key to his squad is no indicator of what will happen next season. He could theoretically say that he will play a bit-part role and not allow him to leave, but when the season comes-he could play every game. It's just words. Performances decide if you will play, not promises.

The bigger indicator is whether Madrid will buy any new star players which could hinder Bale's playing time. They could please Bale until the premier league window closes and then buy a new player, and this limits where Bale could go.

It's really down to Man utd convincing Bale than anything else. It doesn't seem like they doing that at the moment.

Yay...United tweets!

Summary:
-Blind
-Shaw (next summer)
-No Bale
-Pogba not good enough for Barca

+???

I would assume that Madrid would know if we were in or not in for him anymore. This would put them in the driver's seat and Bale on the back foot with no options because no one else can afford him or would be in for him all things considered. He would have to hand in a transfer request.
