We are not a joke right now, we've been a joke for some time. Embarrassing and laughing matter. 25 days and board is doing nothing and Jose is commenting the WC ffs!!!

Panic mode starting!!!
Jose is back at Utd and took training on Friday.

If we need players for certain positions then panicking is the last thing the club needs to do. They get criticised for making the wrong buys, get criticised for making buys at the wrong time, criticised for keeping player A and not selling player B. How do you, me or anyone know what the board is doing? A number of deals are probably being worked on and no doubt every single agent for players at the world cup is trying to get the very best deal for their players. Harry McGuire goes from a £30m defender to a £50m because he has a couple of good games against bang average opposition.

Apparently, nobody at the club is panicking with 25 days to. Well thank **** for that. It's about time we stopped panic buying. If we can't get player A, B, C who is better than what we got within the budget then fine with me.

Why are people panicking? It makes no difference to what happens so might as well just wait and see. You’re stressing over things out of your control.

Hate posts like this. Nothing we discuss on here has any impact on what happens on the pitch, so should we just shutdown the entire forum?

I think it is the time for united fans to panic. We are 25 days away from our first league game, fecking 25 days and we don't know who is our right wing, our center backs and our left back. We are a fecking joke in the transfer market right now, refusing to pay extra fecking millions to correct our squad, we are the richest club in the world and we are accepting to be second best and think being in top 4 is good enough. Our fans being transformed to Liverpool fans by adapting to fact its OK not to win the league next season.

Chill mate.

The thing is no one really knows which deals are in the pipeline and almost done. It takes just a moment to sign but a long time behind the scenes to negotiate and reach agreements.

Well that's what he said, isn't it?

 I've noticed its quite common on here to say something ludicrous or unreasonable, then put a disclaimer that it's just an opinion and that's what forums are for. I believe it's what they call 'shitposting'.

My point is, if people aren't allowed to rant and state their opinions and worries on a forum dedicated for just that, what's the point of this place.

Now when the opinion is just crazy and like a spoilt 15 year old, fine it should be torn to pieces.

You know there is a thread on the front page called 'Wot no transfers'. And there is a significant contingent on here that has already decided that we are done for the season and City and Liverpool will leave us behind (I have no idea why Liverpool are in there with their back 5 still the same but that's common on here, to hype Liverpool up).

I would say that qualifies as acting like a spoilt 15 year old child (probably because they are spoilt children or young adults). I have nothing wrong with someone making a thread about how we have been left behind AT THE END of the transfer window after assessing everyone's transfers. Not assumptions and agendas before the window has closed.

What makes you think our forum is for ranters and nothing else?

We should have a single thread for moaning and a single thread for panicking and put bothb of them in a sub forum titled 'the snowflake zone'

The irony is that the moaners are berating our players for being just as delicate and ready to surrender as they are.

They are conflating (intentionally or otherwise) being negative for he sake of being negative as an opinion.

posting about something they literally can’t know anything about like the rest of us . Despite the fact we already had 2 very good signings earlier than our competitors, they flood the threads with everything varying between asanine digs backed by nothing but bad intent to unadulatered panick. I would like to know which inside track meetings they go to in order to get the information about what the board are doing or who they are targeting.

I think this is all due to believing every tweet you read despite the vast majority being wrong in order to feed whatever narrative they want to bang their drums for.

I don't think it is? It's for all types of discussion.
Where you say it’s dedicated to that. It’s not, the forum has been around since 99, it wasn’t setup for ranters. It’s a popular forum and we’re going through a challenging time post-fergie so we will have people venting what they think is wrong BUT we’re not a forum dedicated for that as you indicate

I didn't indicate that, I said it was part of it, its an opinions board, isn't it? You're really splitting hairs, I know it's not a forum dedicated to ranting mate.

I'm so calm it's unbelievable. Even if we don't buy anyone it will be completely fine. We finished 2nd and City can't do much better than last season so we will definitely challenge. We're Manchester United not fekking Spurs who can fall into a deep pit of despair any summer.

I'm in the same boat as you.

I think United will be better, whilst City will find it impossible not to be worse. That may not be enough to bridge the whole gap, but the gap will be smaller, imo.

I don’t believe we’ll be much worse next season, City i’d like to believe won’t be able to match last seasons form, my worry is the rest of the top six should be much improved, except Spurs who I think will be around the same level.

We've just got Fred and Dalot, and Sanchez has finally had a proper pre-season. The only negatives are that Valencia, Young and Mata are older. Everyone who's left is deadwood.

If we buy a leftback (which I'm sure we will), we'll be significantly improved.

Will take a lot for City to repeat it yes. Seeing some of their players dropping form in the WC also gives me some hopes, although they're playing in different teams with different setups. Hopefully our players will be sharp and ready to give City a bigger challenge, and Mourinho might vary his tactics. Given that we might not sign a world class CB, we might need to focus on more goals.

If more of our players have a better season, that might make everything work for us. Sanchez running riot, Lukaku going for top scorer, Pogba controlling the midfield. If some of these things happen we can mount a bigger title challenge than last year.

I'm not happy with our window but will leave my final assessment until the window is closed. To be honest though I have no confidence in our team being close to winning the league or CL. Will take a few top quality signings between now and 9th August to change my mind. But I'm quite resigned to the fact already so stressing too much at my age is not healthy.

The strange thing is - we aren't really linked with any players anymore. Normally we are linked with hundreds of players - som more than others, now it's almost completely quiet

Safe to say you've already pushed the button.

That's when something is really happening.

what a world cup for Pogba, we really have great midfielders. If we just can improve our weak spots on the RW and LB we have a chance of doing something coming season.
