I think Shaw will be by the end of the season. I know I probably sound mental but I think he’s going to step up this year and end up signing a new deal. If he can stay fit and focused then he’s the best LB at the club and he could still be a good player for us. Last season was a write off but let’s see what the fresh start brings. He’s going to be playing a lot in preseason with young coning back from the WC so we will be able to quickly see if he’s up for it or not.
I’m just going by quotes from Jose saying Young will play 50+ games next season. I’m not sure he trusts Shaw and a lot has been said about his poor attitude which isn’t promising at all. There’s been many false dawns with Shaw but he’s still young and could definitely crack on. It’s in his hands.
