Think we have enough slots left to register the players.

It's good to send talented keepers out on loan than just sitting on bench doing nothing.

Btw this season Joel Pereira wont count as U21, he would have taken a squad slot, so now this signing doesnt change much.

Fair enough Mourinho and his staff will have worked it out i suppose, was just a bit worried a signing like this means we're probably not going to add too many new players to the squad.

Don’t get too excited. I think we will add 1 more and that’s that. Jose has already said we won’t bring in another attacker, we needed 2 midfielders IF Fellaini moved, he didn’t and we have signed Fred. We have signed 1 FB. We might buy a crocky old cb now for experience Or we might go balls in for a ronaldo/bale

We ain’t signing a LB this window. We will only do that if Shaw leaves.
We may sign an old crock cb for the ‘experience’
Yes we may sign another attacked IF martial leaves but I suspect he will stay
 
I still can't believe we aren't linked with a left-back. It's like under Ferguson when we wouldn't sort out our midfield issues for years

We aren't going anywhere unless we sign a left back and hope Dalot hits the ground running straight away

Sounds amazing, can't wit to see the link up between Fellaini (our new captain) and Mandzukic/Dzyuba, with the solid foundation of Young and Valencia playing 60 games each at fullback, spend £70m on Koulibaly and we are the complete team.. :drool:

To be honest sadly i've been thinking that as well. We desperately need a right winger and a proper left back. If we go into the season with what we have in those positions then i just don't see a title challenge on the cards.

A good attacking left footed fullback and a pacy right winger would solve a lot of the problems we had last year. In my opinion.

For the close of the January window we had 24 players. Since then, Zlatan has gone and Carrick has retired with us signing Fred (Dalot doesn't need to be registered for now). Sam Johnstone will be sold, Blind will likely return to Ajax and Darmian will probably leave... eventually. So registered players will look like this:

Now that Fellaini has signed the contract and we have Andreas Pereira returning from loan, it will be 23, but if we exclude players like Wilson then it will be 22.

Now that we have signed Fred, that means we have 23 players who should be registered.

Forgot all about the existence of James Wilson. He's not even been linked with other clubs I don't think.

Also you didn't include Andreas Periera in your list if I'm not wrong. He is 22 and should be registered.

Still it shouldn't be an issue, we have players who will be loaned out and players who will be offloaded if needed to clear the slot.

What if Blind and Darmian leaves?
That would leave us with Young and Shaw as LB options : one of them is 33? and the other is a crock.
I know Dalot can play LB & RB but Valencia won't be able to play all the matches & what happens if Valencia gets injured?
We have been linked with all the available LBs in the world and that too for a long time, I fully expect us to sign a LB

Also we aren't looking to sign a CB for the sake of signing one. We have allegedly bid for Alderweireld, Skriniar and are interested in Bonucci. Who in that list is an old crock?
But yeah if being 31 makes a CB 'old' and one major injury makes a player a crock, then yup, we are looking to sign an old crock

I'm personally happy with Fellaini being the 5th/6th choice CM If it means we sign a CB/LB. Also I'm OK with Lee Grant as it would mean our young keepers get a chance to go out on loan and play every day. Not to mention both those signings cost a grand total of zero pounds and so it won't affect our transfer budget in any way.
Also let us remind ourselves that no other club has made a big signing except maybe Pool, so before we go into full panic mode, let's wait for a few weeks after the WC ends.

Lb - will also be covered by a fit again rojo. So that’s young, Shaw and rojo. Plus Dalot. Assuming Darmian is sold
That’s why I really cannot see us getting a LB this summer. If rojo and/or Shaw is sold then maybe but as it stands I don’t think it’s anything other than a fan dream

I’d love skriniar coming in because he will be one of the best cbs around within a couple of years. Toby or bonucci no thanks not for the money quoted

Do you have tracking protection enabled on firefox? There should be a little shield up top left of your search bar.
 
Look on the positive side: it's one less keeper/ Stoke player that will have a blinder against us.

EDIT: The feckers waited until they were in the Championship until they sold him to us. Bastards. :mad:

It's crazy isn't it? We're being linked with Centre-backs when we have 6 at the club but seemingly have paid no mind to our fullback situation which has been dire for years.

Yeah maybe but if he is not going to sign a new contract, they will have to sell him. They won't want to loose him on a free next year as selling him now will also help them with the FFP.
I think he could be available for 30 million which is a very good price as he is only 23 and can play as #8/#6

Someone will snap him up if those prices are accurate. It won't be United though, not with Fred arriving and Fellaini staying.
