So the window shuts in 5 weeks and 6 days. We have signed a young full back with great potential but only a handful of senior appearances, Fred and now Fellaini. Plus we are sniffing around that Stoke keeper.
I’m the eternal pessimist but is anyone else slightly worried about going into next season with basically the same starting eleven and the same plan B tree sat on the bench. I really don’t see Pereira getting a sniff and Fosu is talking about another loan whilst Martial wants out. There is no way Jose will change our style and we proved last season to be far from good enough when it mattered. I’m just slightly disillusioned by our window thus far. Yes there is a World Cup and I’m not bothered about what other teams have done or not so far either, just about us and whether anyone truly believes we will make some top class signings before then?

I'm sure we'll step it up before it ends. I would expect two more, maybe three signings. The difficulty is having the World Cup slap bang in the middle of the window, which makes things a little more difficult.

People going on about us needing width and then suggesting we should buy Rodriguez for RW

You do realise that no other club has made significant signings other than maybe Liverpool.
I'm sure we have a few deals lined up and are just waiting to announce it or to sort out the last details
I very much believe that we will sign A CB, LB & a RW before the window closes.

James Rodríguez won't be signed permamently by Nico Kovac.

The tweet means James won't continue with Bayern under Kovac. I'm pretty sure he's already been signed permanently, if Bayern resident fans can confirm. Probably BS rumour anyway.

If this is true, we should be over it like flies on a turd.

I've always had that feeling about him that he is a Manchester United player and would do brilliantly here. Had the same feeling about RvP and he was pretty fecking decent before Moyes came.

It’s a long summer, and WC round of 16 is not even done. I’m sure Ed & Mou have an ace or two up their sleeves.

If Tierney goes there and we have Ashley lining up as our first choice next season, I'll be kicking furniture. I'd love to see us give him a go.

If we really aren't in for Sandro I can't believe that we won't go for Tierney at that price. He'd probably leave Everton in 1-2 seasons for twice that amount.

He literally said he doesn't want to leave Celtic and wants to captain the team one day in a recent interview.

Ah, ok. Fair enough. At least it would make him leaving for Everton seem quite implausible.

I mean, if that's true, then there's no way that we can simply allow it to happen without us being involved. Spurs have Rose and Davies; we have Young and Shaw. It would awful to see such a talent like that fill the squad of another top four team, meanwhile, leaving us with an ageing winger playing as a full-back yet still. I'm dubious about Everton's chances getting him, however. If he's leaving Celtic, surely it's not for them.

We really need links to players this is getting so boring.

We should be all over this transfer. The guy is much better than Shaw.

Agree with you both.

Can't see why we're not in. The only good reason would be that Mourinho truely thinks Luke Shaw can nail down the position next season. But obviously that's not the case. We'd eventually regret not signing him if he goes elsewhere.

What crossy said, plus there's someone on the caf with pretty strong connections to Tierney who said he's not thinking of leaving this summer.

I love Caf insiders :D but like @golden_blunder said, I can't see Celtic say no to a huge offer. 25m is probably not near enough if the lad is totally committed.

So Tierney is this years Fabinho where he's been built up so much in peoples heads that they can't see Jose might not rate him?
I like him but I don't think he's this must get player that would bring us closer to City to be honest.

We don't have to sign the likes of Messi and Ronaldo to get there. He's one of the best young left-backs in the world who would improve us no end. He'd become the best left-back in the league within a year too. Have watched him for the past 2-3 years (Have lots of Celtic friends) and they can't speak enough about the kid.

He's been absolutely immense in the Champions League everytime I have watched him too. We'll regret it If we aren't in for him
