Looking on the positive side it frees up funds for elsewhere. If this means we can afford our primary targets in LB and RW then I'll take it as a positive.
Doesn't look like we're going for a leftback. Our primary targets seem to be RW and CB unless (I'm guessing with this) Bale stays at Madrid and we go for a cheaper alternative at RW.

Dalot can play at both LB and RB so for all we know he might end up being the LB signing.

it also looks like shaw doesn't want to leave and won't be forced out, so I have my doubts we'll sign a left back. More Young at left back next season I guess...

Oh yeah I know, just trying to think positively

If we go into next season with Fred, Dalot and just a CB I'll be worried about our prospects.

Chiellini and Barzagli have extended their contracts with Juve until 2020 and 2019 respectively.

'kinell Barzagli for another year. I've seen semi trucks do 3-point turns faster him these days.

I remember a young, fresh-faced Andrea Barzagli becoming a Chievo regular back in 2003. Time's flown

You must be only counting English and Irish players I guess? Even then you've ignored Bobby Charlton.

Did you forget how to read? I said 3 of our best, not our 3 best ever players.

I'd say they'd all be in the conversation for an all time united 11. Amongst our best ever players.

It is mostly to keep the locker room solid, a lot of the old guard has gone (Buffon, Lichtsteiner, Asamoah, maybe Marchisio) and him and Chiellini will have to keep the youngsters focused and with the right spirit.
